TPR material-what type of lubricant and cleaner?

Hello all!

I am a new member here and I'm glad I've found you!

I am planning to order my first rabbit vibrator, and I have found a TPR one that I like. Since I am inexperienced in materials, I did a little search on the internet trying to find out the characteristics of each one.

I want to enjoy and take care of my first vibrator and would like to buy a lubricant and a cleaner with it.

Could you pleeease tell me what kind of lubricant and cleaner is compatible with the TPR material? I read about water-based lubricant, can I use this?

And also, can I use antibacterial soap and water for cleaning it or do I have to use a specific cleaner, and if yes, what type?

Sorry for all these questions, I would appreciate your help!

Thanks!! :)

i think you would be safe with a water based lube and anti bac soap, though i'm not completley educated on TPR.

Thank you for answering so fast!

I appreciate your advice! Do you know if TPR is a good material in general terms?

With a quick search of the LH blog I found this which might be helpful to you http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/blog/?q=toy+materials

Thanks, I didn't know that there is a blog too - very helpful!

Water based lubes can be used on all sex toy materials and it's got other handy properties aswell, like being easy to clean off.

TPR is basically a blend that should be treated as you would treat jelly rubber toys. They are porous, so no sharing without protection, and you will have to be pretty vigilant with cleaning. Hot soapy water should be okay for general cleaning.

Aam I daft that I have no idea what TPR is?

Skin safe rubber, unless I am mistaken.

Why not post the link of the one you're looking at so people can have a look and give opinions.

As for the cleaner, Lh do their own called 'Sqwerty'....

As has been said, water based lube, liquid silk is a good one.

Hope you enjoy whatever you choose.

TPR = Thermoplastic Rubber. I've read it's also known sometimes as TPE, where the E is Elestomer.

Thank you all for your help!

I am thinking of this one

Thank you all so much!!

armelina - hope you are enjoying your new rabbit ;-) TPR/skin safe rubber is a brilliant material, the vibes just works so well - 2 of my favourite toys (I have afew!) are made of this feely touchy tactial material and they're grrreat!! I use baby wipes and sqwerty to clean them and water based lubes and no worries.
