Had one of these on my wish list for a while and then it came up on offer so bought it. The reviews are fantastic but I can't seem to get on with it. Have watched the demo vid and wonder if I am using it wrong. It seems to hurt, but I can't understand why as the material is nice and soft and my anatomy seems ok. Don't want to send it back (could use it as a bullet without the sleeve).
I know everyone is different but am disappointed. I can cum but takes me ages, a lot longer than the love egg I have.
This did nothing for my lovely wife either - didn't hurt but didn't stimulate either. Like you, we got it on special offer and we've kept it as a very good, power bullet.
If it's hurting you, it could be overstimulating you? If you are using it directly on the clit, perhaps move it away a bit and see if you can find a spot that stimulates without over stimulating (basically use the clitoral hood as a buffer). You could even try it over your underwear to see if dampening the sensations reduces the painful feeling.
The 'flutter' motion looks a bit sore, that could be your problem too. That 'flutter' is essentially two little flaps of plastic slapping themselves against your clit at high speed. It's not quite the same as holding a vibrator against yourself!
Have you tried using a bit of lube with it, or even an orgasm gel, just to reduce any friction issues/provide a bit of cushioning for the flutter?
With regards to it taking longer to orgasm, it could be that it just isn't the right type of stimulation for you. It could be that it is different to anything you've tried and so you need to adjust and get used to the feelings. I wouldn't persist with it unless you very quickly find a way to stop the pain, though, as you really shouldn't use something that hurts you!

Yup, that's the one. I used lots of lube, both on myself and on the vibe.
Have decided to keep and use it without the cover. Vibes are fab.
What on earth is a squeel and go, have looked for one on here but can't see it, unless I'm just missing it?
Gonna use my new glass dildo at the weekend, can't wait. Only had silicone before.
IMHO the best thing about the Tracy Cox clit vibe is that the love egg fits exactly into the fingerloop of this toy: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=29779, thus creating a vibrating butt plug.
In other words: I don't really like the "tulip" on my clit either, though maybe I should experiment a bit more. But like Schmalto33 I decided to keep it because I thought the fabulous vibrations would come in useful one day (see above) - and it's waterproof, which is always a good thing.
I'm easily over-stimulated so have to be careful using mine.
I started out putting the 'tulip' directly over my clit, but found that the little nub on the inside is hard and can be quite painful. I now use the little 'petals' around my clit, being careful to move them around.
Over-stimulation is a bit of a pain in more ways than one for me, but I still need clit stimulation to have a good orgasm. If you're like me, you might find the Womanizer to be just the ticket, or if it's not in your budget, maybe the Humdinger would be better for you (I'm about to try this so don't have any experience of it yet, but it looks great for me). Plus it's on sale!

Good luck.
Maybe it was the nub that caused the pain. Have removed the petal sleeve thingy and am now using it as a bullet and boy is it good. Even on the lowest setting my clit gets very sensitive so you can imagine what it's like on the top setting. Got very vocal with it the other day whilst some men were working on the drainage system below my bedroom window. They did seem to go very quiet at one point LOL
Just a thought, but as you sound like me (sensitive clit, easily over-stimulated), have you thought of trying the Womanizer?
I'm like a stuck record with this little miracle of innovation, but I love it soooo much. I can use it multiple times with no over-stimulation or "nearly there" frustration.
