Tribbing

Is this a real thing or just something in porn?

I mean, obviously you can do it but it's more designed to be watched than to be actually pleasurable.

In my experience with women, it's almost never the go to move. You have to perfectly 'fit' with your partner which almost never happens. For me, I avoid it. It's more frustrating than fun. That being said, I know a lot of women that like it but I think it tends to be followed by oral or some other form of direct stimulation.

What's tribbing?

I was hoping for an explanation too! Off to Google..

That was what I thought. It looks like you’d never be able to orgasm doing this

Tribadism (/ˈtrɪbədɪzəm/ TRIB-ə-diz-əm)[1] or tribbing, commonly known by its scissoring position, is a sex act in which a woman rubs her vulva against her partner's body for sexual stimulation, especially for ample stimulation of the clitoris. This may involve female-to-female genital contact or a female rubbing her vulva against her partner's thigh, stomach, buttocks, arm, or other body part (excluding the mouth).[2][3][4][5] A variety of sex positions are practiced, including the missionary position.

Ha. Yeah. It's definitely something I've found beginner's/bi tourists tend to try the most. I've heard it works well if you have a larger clitoris/are particularly thin, but it is more for the male gaze I think than female pleasure by and large.

Speaking for my partner, it’s more of a visual thing and does end up getting a tad sore and irritable after a little while unless lubricant is added. So it’s definitely more of a visual, pornesque type thing. But some may absolutely love it and one of my close lesbian friends says she enjoys doing this with her partner as it makes things feel really close and intimate rather than using a toy like a strap on.

Yes, have done that. It is real!

Everyone likes a bit of dry humping right, isn't this just the next step, before the main event(s)?
