How long do you find toys last you?

I've just had a clear through my drawer and I've found that my fleshlight seems to be sticking to itself, although it should stil be useable (It is 8 years old). I've also found one of my favourite thrust toys isn't quite upto it on the inside. I had found recently that everytime I'd use it i would get a bit of a rash and itching, I turned it inside out to find little black blisters inside of what looked like mould! I'd assume I'm not allowing it to dry out properly, but that's quite hard when I still live at home with my parents, unless anyone has any specific tips for quick drying them.

Looks like i'll be placing another order with LH sometime soon, I just need to try and make up my mind on what to get. Spoilt for choice.

Hey 12_monkees

You could try leaving your toys inside out to dry?

Also, are you making sure you follow up with renewer powder after cleaning?

That removes any remaining moisture, and removes the sticky feeling.

How to Care for Your Real Feel Stroker

I should add that: it sounds like your THRUST toy is now compromised. If you get a rash from using it, please throw it away. The nature of that material is very porous, so if bacteria has been left to grow, it'll be impossible to clean from your toy now.

Hmm...I've only been using toys since last year so it's hard to say but all my toys seem fine so far. I sure hope they can last years to come because I love them so much.

The only one that seems a little bit off is my first rabbit. The bead chamber has gone a little cloudy but it still works fine. https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=34257

I always clean my toys with toy cleaner spray and let them air-dry afterwards. I usually use my toys at night so I can leave them out overnight to dry completely before putting them away in the morning. Do you have your own bedroom and a place you can let it dry? I put mine on my dresser but if anyone knocks on my door, I'll put it behind a little alcove wall so it's out of sight.

Yes, listen to Jess.

I disposed of the toy as soon as I saw the spots! I always use the toy cleaner and the renewer powder every time but I was always fearful of turning it inside out for fearing of tearing it, however I’ve realised they’re quite resilient. Are there any tips for hands free toys? I realise they can’t be turned inside out, so I would assume they need to be well ventilated to dry then powdered? I quite fancy expanding to a hands free toy as I’ve always had hand held

I've had a Clitorizer that lasted a week out of warranty and a Rave that refused to charge a few weeks out of warranty.

All others have lasted a few years, but I'm careful with charging.

I've never had a problem with toys losing their finish, but I've only ever used water-based lubes with them.

My fleshlight lasted less than 6months before i binned it. It was such a pain doing the after care, cleaning and drying etc.
