Using anal lubricant vaginally

Is there any reason not to use anal lubricant vaginally?

This probably sounds a little silly but I was just looking at the maximus as I wanted a new anal lube but I also like to lube up my clitorus sometimes and occassionally vaginally insertable toys.

As it is marketed as an anal lube I just wanted to see if anyone new if there was a reason not to use it in other ways as well, or whether it's just marketed that way.

Anyone have any experience using it vaginally?

Hi we use maximus for all our sexual needs wife on me for anal and me on her for toys etc no problem on either fantastic lube

No reason at all. We use Maximus for everything, it last longer and is thinker than normal ones

Thanks guys, went for the maximus :)

Anal lube would be much better vaginally its thicker and goes a long way :) have fun x

We started off with the Maximus but once it ran out moved onto the Tracey Cox Anal
lube & use that for anal & vaginal sex, personally I prefer anal lube, it goes a long way & feels better (I think so anyway) ^_^

I've used Maximus vaginally and had no issues. It lasts longer and doesn't go tacky.

Don't know about maximus, but we have tracey cox anal lube, and tracey cox super sex lube, and they both have the same ingredients, but the sex lube also has some extra ingredients. So I don't think there would be any harm using the anal in the vagina. Besides all lubes have to be skin safe.

Anal lube does tend to go further and is much thicker too :) I don't see why you can't use it vaginally as well..

Some anal lubes contain fructose .

Thanks for all the advice guys. I ordered the maximus so will give it a go. :)

If nothing else, it will generally say what it's suitable for on the bottle!

This ^. Check the ingredients for sorbitol, fructose, glycerin and other ingredients which might contribute to yeast infections.

AFAIK Maximus doesn't contain any of those, it's parabens, an ethanol and propylene glycol in water and cellulose, but some of those ingredients are known irritants for some women. Vaginal tissues tend to be more sensitive to these sorts of problems than anal. Hopefully it will be fine for you.
