The best sex we've ever had has always been on vacation. How do we keep that feeling at home? Any stories? Advice?
I would say it's best to pin point what it was that got you going in this setting. For a lot of people it's the difference from home. Ideas that might help:
- Change the mood and the look of your room. Have a major spring clean if you're not very organised at the moment and make it a space that is all about your pleasure as a couple. Take out the the pictures of family and your cat and move in the candles. Put some music you like on and put a platter of goodies and yummy things on the side.
- Invest in a dimmer switch.
- Put aside proper time to ease out of work mode and into play mode. When we're on holiday we're not stressed and we're not thinking of our busy schedules. Relaxing and taking our time is so key to having mind blowing sex.
- Invest in luxury. We tend to pamper ourselves so why not get some extra special toys, lingerie and other lovely things to spice it up with class.

If the novelty was a big turn on, you may want to try out some role play too. If dressing up isn't so much your thing, maybe just try on some new identities instead. Go to a bar, pretend you're on a first date, treat everything you do before a taxi home as foreplay and delay physical contact for as long as possible. Setting boundaries you're so used to crossing as a long term couple can make restraint and denial an incredibly rewarding discipline when you eventually yield to your partner.
Another thing people often do is lose thier inhibitions and do things on holiday they wouldn't usually do. Was there anything on the menu in the sun that you don't usually do at home? If so, make that your souvenir. You might also want to try having sex anywhere but the bedroom. The shower might be an idea....

We once had a session based on our own little story about sex on holiday which was pretty intense. Just talking and fantasising can be a big turn on!

Try turning the heating up high and making it feel like holiday.....then focus on making the place look good....use haiwaiin tropic suncream to get the smell (smells amazing!) and drinks and props for taste.
Focus on all the senses and it should feel quite like holiday!!

Another great thing about recapturing vacation sex is it affirms that when sex gets a bit samey it's your surroundings that have gone stale and not you and your partner.
I prefer city holidays so I'm usually knackered after all that culture!
I think the hotel room sex phenomenon is probably a lot more to do with the lack of stress and distractions so it's a difficult one to recreate.
You could try making your bedroom feel more like a hotel by adding some hotel-like touchs: e.g. putting a mini fridge in your bedroom to be your very own mini-bar, getting some huge fluffy towels and some nice toiletries, having large mirrors near the bed, putting up pictures of the kind of view you'd like to see from your hotel window ece.
To try and eliminate distractions turn of your mobiles and unplug your phone!
Anticipation helps make holidays more exciting so marking special dates on your calender e.g. "J & Ms naughty w/e in" would give you things to look forward to.

Funny really ... my wife and I have better sex at home BY FAR. She seems very up tight - nervous almost, in a hotel (when it comes to sex).
She's far more willing to try things at home that she doesn't consider in a hotel.
Perhaps it's a feeling safe kind of thing?
Not that I mind in any way - we rarely stay in a hotel so I'm VERY glad it's the way round it is!!

But 10 years on the Sex Offenders Register seems a ittle OTT though. I had to deal with a child abuse once and the offender concerned wasn't on for that long - even though he abused 11 children.
