I'm so excited about valentines day, i can't wait!!!!! I've asked OH's Mum and Dad to pick the kids up from school (first time) I'm going to decorate the house while he is at work, i went out yesterday and got some decorations, i've got him a little personal present, some lovely wrapping paper, i got champagne, i'm not sure if i'm going to cook or get a take away, some new lovely white bed covers, rose petals, candles anything romantic really
take out is a deffo must then all you have to is make sure your ready and forget about everything else nothing worse than trying to cook and either trying to wave off the smell of the food or not get any down your front!!
if ya can do it better than a takeaway is actually getting catered food for two now thats pazzaz
Sounds lovely Ilovemyman x
Oh hell, I'm such a cynic. I cannot stand V-day! I think I have some issues with it. Ever since a boyfriend in high school was just toooo romantic. I went to an all girls school and he got his sister to ply me with presents after every bloody lesson. I was all red-rosed and teddied out by the end of the day! THEN when the boys school swapped messages with the girls, I was up on that stage more times that you can have hot dinners, with more bloody horrible red roses and sweet messages. Then he organised to take me out for dinner. Not your average 16 year old boy thing to do on Valentine's day. Everyone thought I was so lucky. I just cringed and promptly cheated on him with the captain of the Waterpolo team. Horrible behaviour but I was only 15 at the time. He did start talking to me a few years later! *blush* (the waterpolo captain has never spoken to me since)
Anyway, I don't like this Hallmark holiday. Had a boyfriend three years ago that wanted to take me on a picnic - in this weather - are you CRAZY??? I decided to go to a wedding without him instead. We broke up 4 days later - I'm sure it's related! LOL
So it's just another day for me. I do get upset if my dad doesn't pop a card in the post for me it has to be said but that's about it.
Reading this back, I think I deserve to be single! What a bah humbag I am!
HOWEVER, I do think it's all lovely the way other people show their love in the posts mentioned above. It's just not for me.

I'll just send you 12 red roses and a box of chocolates then , I know what you mean, i'm usually the same but at the moment any chance i get to be romantic i will go ott! I feel like a teenager again!
^^^ Where have the smileys gone? There was a wink one before the commer
Hehehe Ilovemyman - any colour roses, just not red ones! lol *wink*
Aaah I do think it's lovely when people get all romantic, I really do. But I think I had my Valentines day in December. Got to get my inner child out and go all googly eyed and stupid.
Mz Bee you are right it really doesn't matter to us that it's valentines day it it just an excuse to be more romantic! but saying that i wouldn't have spent as much money as i have if it wasn't valentines, i would have got the things i have ordered from LH each month rather than in one go, i've just spent over £50, it's stuff that i wanted but would have waited for, i did get free express delivery tho! I just ordered and it will be here by 1 tomorrow, i don't know if i can keep it until the 14th i'm too excited!
