Vibrator in hand luggage

Hi, Husband and I off for dirty weekend break, hand luggage only on budget airline. We want to take a vibe with us but are worried about it showing up in the scanner or worst of all triggering a security alert. Anyone out there with experience or advice

you should be fine as long as you take the batteries out. my previous partner and I flew back from Amsterdam and she had a rabbit in her luggage. No problems at all

A bullet vibrator such as the Tracey Cox Supersex Bullet Vibrator http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=14042, that I own and love, could be mistaken for lipstick. At least I hope, since I carry it everywhere. But certainly nothing funny has happened to me, and I have never noticed the security personnel snickering.

Here's a good blog article about it http://www.tinynibbles.com/sexualtravel

The Lelo Mia http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26487 would be a great travel toy, due to its' lock facility and the fact it looks like a memory stick :)

I'm taking my Mia 2 on holiday with me in a few weeks, purely because it looks like a USB stick.

Probably put it in main luggage though but still hoping airport security leave her to travel in peace. :P

No one is going to care if they see a vibrator in your luggage! They see all sorts, as long as it's not shaped like a weapon or drugs you'll be okay ;)

Take the batteries out to avoid it turning itself on! x

When my husband and I were moving from one country to another, we had to pack all our belongings in suitcases. We packed a bunch of electric stuff in the handluggage. We had an external hard drive in there, which showed up as a big black box and of course security wanted to check it. As they open up our bag, we realise that our We Vibe is right on top (in its little white case) :)

So they dug around in our luggage, but no one really cared about anything but the big black box.

But, in my experience, they don´t show up as anything interesting on the x-rays.

my glass one did she wanted to take it out of its velvet pouch in front of my parents. i quietly wispered in her ear as she was having a good feel of. luckily she didn't take it out. ha ha.

after all that we never used it. monthly reared her ugly head. xx

As others have said make sure you take your batteries out; horror stories of embarassing security alerts occasionally make the news.

My wife and I have a villa booked in a couple of months and won't think twice about packing all of our cuffs, whips, toys, vibes etc...

They won't be in hand luggage though, so at least if anyone wants to have a nose in our bags we won't have to be there.

I'm sure they see a lot worse every day

hold baggage is not screened by human eyes unless the computer flags it up. if it goes past humas eyes and they're still not sure then they will often call the owner to security and you open it.

handluggage wise you can asked for it to opened in private.

A heard a funny story that Tulisa (x-factor) took a vibrator on a flight but it turned on when she put it on the check in scales. The Lady behind the desk informed her the her bag was vibrating and she had to dig in and turn it off lol. Anyway, she then took the batters out and put it in hand luggage and got through fine. My friend heard this on a talk show. Hope this helps.

Also my OH and I went to Prague and took a sex toy in hand luggage, we were worried so took a glass toy as we thought this wouldn’t show up.

When we came back from Prague last year, everyone had to open all there bags and were hand searched.could be quite embarrassing as there was no privacy. And as for taking a sex toy, it will show up. I can't remember what i took when we went to Amsterdam but when the wife's bag went threw the 2 security guys were smirking.

I dont know about other airports. But at Edinburgh theres a box full of stuff at the secruity checking that your not allowed to take through.

Last time i went on holiday (4 years ago :( ) there was a big purple dildo in there :P.

Now, i know this donest help out with your problem of taking a vibrator. however i dont get to tell that story very often :P

ha ha ha I had two in my luggage, the female security guard saw them and wanted them checked so the other female security guard asked me to take them out and she put them through seperately blushing like a beetroot. She is a horrible woman made my day to show her up lol

they wouldnt allow my to take the lube or cleaner on though

This page is really useful! - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/blog/2008/06/21/sex-toys-that-travel-well/ At the end of the day the security people have seen everything; I'm sure a Lelo Mia or similar toy wouldn't raise eybrows in hand luggage.

Just remember to take batteries out and be careful about liquid rules for your lube and cleaner!

Anyone had experience with a 6" dildo/vibrator in hand luggage the last couple years?

Planning on visiting my partner for her birthday and getting her a dildo (12177). I'd just post it, but her mum is quite religious and usually opens any packets for her..

we took 6 dildos with us on our last holiday in september and no problems just take batteries out as we once had a vibrating suitcase very embarrsing

Get a rub my duckie instead ,

taken various toys through customs including vibrators and other toys never had any problems

have taken vibros, dildos and some bondage stuff in my hand luggage plenty of times ..just take batteries out of your vibrator and you be fine.....
