Guys, we have just bought one of these and to our utter frustration , while there is a UBS charging lead supplied, there are absolutely zero instructions as to where the lead is used or how to isert it. The unit istelf has no visible marking to help, there are no diagrams or instructions shwing if there are access panels..... essentially it is useless as we can't charge it.
We are really wary of damaging it by trying to pull anything so have maybe missed something but it really isn't obvious
Any of you guys have any idea? We've searched the net and come up empty-handed. for an expensive toy it has left us pretty frustrated
Hold the toy with the bump towards you, and the point upwards, I believe there should be a small recess you can feel, try pushing the jack into there - it's like this as it helps it to be "waterproof"
Look on the back of the toy, find the area that says DC (you might have to look closely as it's embedded into the silicone) and you'll see a small silicone covered hole just above it. You plug the jack into there :)
Thanks guys - we saw that little mark, but either the hole isn't there or this one is super tight because when we tried that, there was no way it was going in there. The charging lead connector is very thin, and we're pretty certain we were at the point where it would bent if we tried any harder.
Wouldn't have killed Vive to have included a diagram to remove doubt, would it?!
Thanks for replying to this, we suspect we will have to take it to the shop to get them to try it so it it breaks we can at least get an exhange on one that does work. We actually bought it at the Melbourne Sexpo exhibition, but luckily the stall there is aflilliated with stores around Melbourne we can go to.
Not so for the expensive Joque harness we bought, the sales guys never informed us that they come in two sizes, and only when we got how did we realise they had sold us the big size, useless for us and we would have to pay to get back in to try and exchange it. We won't buy at exhibitions any more!
