I’ve noticed that wands seem to be a trend recently, although I’m aware they have been around a long time. If you use one what is different about them compared to a regular shaped vibrator? I’ve got quite a high end German made vibrator that’s pretty good and does the trick but I’m wondering if I’m missing out ? I find anything too powerful can be too much for me though, I don’t use the vibrator on anywhere near the top speed and my husband and I use a Tenga cock ring again never on highest setting as I find it too intense to be pleasurable if that makes sense. Similarly I’m wondering about clitoral suction toys but have to say the idea of it makes me feel a bit weird lol! I don’t know if this would be good if you’re super sensitive.

Most wands are pretty intense even on the lowest speeds.
Lots of people love them for exactly that, but others find them way too much amd numbing very quickly.
My wife doesn’t like strong vibes at all. Most of the vibrators we have only get used on the 1st speed of 3. Some like the we-vibe tango x and touch x, because their ranges are more progressive and bery rumbly, we can go wild and some days even used the 2nd speed, on special occasions even the 3rd!!! 
And because of that, wheneber we’ve use wands, it generally hasn’t worked because the 1st speed they have is already intense.
The mantric wand is gathering dust, our Doxy #3 was used once on her (it’s so effing intense in works on my penis though, so not wasted ).
The original we-vibe wand has a great range of speeds though, and starts very mildly.
Suction toys have to be tried to know if it’s your thing or not. They can be difficult to hold in place over the clit during sex.

Wands deliver more “rumbly” vibrations than traditional vibrators, they also typically have higher and stronger speeds. Clitoral suction, on the other hand, is like a gentle lapping or tapping sensation - if you like oral sex, it’s a wonderful substitute for those times between!
I don’t have a super sensitive clit so I’ve never had a problem. The best thing to do with any new toy is start slow and build up slow. You never know, you may find a new favourite

OH prefers a small pointy bullet sized vibrator. We have lots of toys. She enjoys most of them but she does lean to the bullet. We have an old hitachi and that will get her off and other doxy style vibes.
The suction toys have been hit and miss. Usually never enough to get her off.

We have both. In terms of wands we have a doxy and a Lovehoney wand. We have a wide selection of suction toys from all the major manufacturers. The suction toys get far more use than the wands in our house. Mrs B prefers the sensations. She is a self confessed power queen, but the wands, especially on the higher settings a numbing very quickly. If you do end up wanting to try and wand we would recommend the Lovehoney one rather than a doxy. The doxy is probably better quality, but the power control is a push button and it steps up in pretty big steps. The Lovehoney wand is a dial and therefore has complete control of the power… good luck!
