Water based lubricant alternative to baby oil?

Hi everyone,

I know there's plenty of water based lubricants out there for sex, but is there anything for just sliding about like you'd use baby oil for, but without breaking condoms?

Thanks!

Morning and welcome to the OA forums!

The first ones I thought of were the Booty Parlor massage oil http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=18005

The new Intimate Organics massage oils eg http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=18193

or the Sliquid Natural Organic Lube range eg http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15119

Not 100% sure about condom breakage but the Sliquid one especially does note that it is water-based and 'it's glycerine, paraben and petroleum free, latex, rubber and plastic friendly, 100% vegan and never tested on animals'

Hope this helps!

Hello uxo,

All water-based lubricants will dry up eventually; sadly that's the nature of the beast! However, many are designed to be re-activated with a little moisture so if you're dead-set on using a water-based lubricant, go for something like Durex Play Massage 2 in 1 Personal Lubricant or maybe Astroglide Lubricant.

The closest thing to baby oil that is condom safe and won't dry out is a silicone lubricant. It has the extra slip-and-slide and won't damage latex or rubber either! We highly recommend ID Millennium Silicone Lubricant as it is smooth and slippery.

Hey everyone, thanks very much for your speedy help, I'll go and check those out right now...

Be aware that silicone lubes will destroy silicone toys, so remember that before you go whipping out your favourite massager.

We've used 'yes' water based lube for a while now, it is non allergic and ecologically-friendly too. It is condom-friendly and also looks like spunk - when we use it with swinging friends they always comment on that! Yes do an oil based version for use without condoms.

Isn't anything oil based not good for lady bits? Would baby oil fit into that catagory?
