OK - I know this topic has been touched on but I haven’t found a great answer…
Looking for a waterproof lube that we could use as a couple in the shower or something I can use solo. Water-based lube is unusable in a bath/shower or just gets sticky or washes away, and most silicone lubes are also pretty useless in a wet environment which has it’s pros and cons.
I am looking for something industrial. I have started to introduce heavy natural mineral oil to our massages or full-body play. Other than coconut oils, vegetable oil or olive oil, I haven’t found anything synthetic or manmade that keeps “slippery when wet”.
Pander to me! Point me in the direction of the perfect waterproof/resistant lube that I can get in a large quantity - like porn set/hand sanitizer/Costco-sized pack!
For use in water your best best is something oil based. Water based lubes are pointless. Silicone will last longer but as ‘oil and water don’t mix’ they’re your best bet. The downside is that you shouldn’t use oil based lubes with condoms. Ever. Likewise never use silicone based lubes with silicone toys. If you can find something that doesn’t irritate your bits (coconut oil/palm oil for example) then that’s your best bet for shower/bath fun.
Use and silicone or oil based lube for shower fun. We have used Pjur Backdoor which is silicone based under the shower multiple times and it holds really well. The only downside is that it can make the floor quite slippery if you use to much.
