Wax Play?

Anyone have any experience with it? Any tips or tricks for me? OH and I are interested in trying it out soon and don't want misshaps!

Only tried it once. Some good advice from AA there though.

The massage candles would be the easiest introduction to wax play as the wax is very soft and not too hot at all. Definately don't just use an ordinary candle without trying it on your arm/hand first though.

I love wax play LH have some great products that you can use for wax play .Dont use your normal wax candels in the house for a start . Dont go pour over the body see how they react first maybe in not so sensative area, hold it high . After getting use to it I enjoy it being poured down my clit the sensation it creates is wonderful highly recommend this set for wax play - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22425 as the wax can be used to massage too which is lovely for your partner . Well I find it is also recommend this as you can tease and spot over there body and you can create nice pattens on the body too - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17485

Yeah I think himself and I may just use the vanilla soy wax candles we have at home because we both tend to sit there and poke at the melted wax just after we blow it out and it's not at all too hot, so just to see if it's something we enjoy before buying specialised products.

thanks everyone for the input! :)

Another tip I don't think has been mentioned yet:

Avoid dropping the wax onto hairy areas of the body. To be fair, most of the body is covered in fine hairs, so removing the wax from, say, the breasts, can feel very slightly nippy (Due to fine hairs being pulled out) but applying wax to very thick hairy areas can be quite painful to pull off! Areas like the males chest (If hairy) the pubic ares (If hairy) etc. Aside from being a literal pain to remove, it is also just a pain to remove from longish hair. I would recommend shaving, (or waxing...HAHAHA!) if you wish to drop wax on these areas

Good point, Fluffbags.

However depending on the type of candle, baby oil can help to remove the wax from the skin/hair.

Some people like it on hairy areas though. - continue the pain...

Great tip from the wise fluffbags x

Forgot to say, these are quite good

The wax turns into massage oil, not to hot for newbies wanting to try wax play !!!

Funny how threads start as you were looking into play ideas! Me and then the OH was talking about candle play today and was looking at the 3 for £9.99 candles and contemplating buying them, thanks for starting this thread as it has made our mind up to give them ago! X

Be aware that dripping from height causes splashes too - I found some on our radiator the other day. We use a pvc sheet to protect the floor or bed

Also it's good to mix it up and drop from different heights. Or from more than one candle in different places at the same time. Blindfolded is good as it increases the sensation.

Ouchhhh I can imagine that himself is going to have fun ridding himself of it. *evil laugh*

Super stoked to try it out the next time we have a couple hours to ourselves!

my other tip is to think about the scents you are using. vanilla sounds lovely, but we tried a watermelon one and it got sickeningly sweet after a while..
