Our wedding is in 2 weeks we are so excited ! Some of our friends have said you have no energy for sex at night after getting out of dress and sorting hair ect ! But others have said you’ve got tho ! Anyone got any good suggestions or advice from being in same situation? Havent even brought anything sexy yet for the night been so stressed with everything else !

After our wedding, yes, I was tired and to be honest, sex was the last thing on my mind. I think I bought some frilly white knickers, my husband bought some “sex god” boxers (personal joke).
We did consumate ohr marriage but I still managed to pass out after without saying “I love you”

Didn’t happen for us, and not a regret.
We had been together +10y by time we got married, so we had consumed all we wanted before hand….
The week preceding was so busy, the days just before stepped that up again, the wedding day itself was incredible and wonderful but full on from 9am till bedtime around 1 or 2am when we decided to leave the remaining guests to it whilst we made our retreat.
We huddled in bed and read some of the lovely cards people sent us, and passed out. Not gonna lie as the husband I’d been hoping for wedding day sex in the preceding weeks, but on the day itself, it wasn’t really a concern at all.
After all, the times of having to “consume” the bride and prove her virginity with a white bloody bed sheet are thankfully long gone. (The white bloody bed shet may or may not be factually accurate depending on culture. The point is that we usually have sex LONG before the wedding nowadays, making the expectations to have a 1st go somewhat irrelevant)

I knew my body wouldn’t be up for sex after a full day of wedding, so we organised timings to allow us to shag between the ceremony in the morning and our event in the afternoon. So, marriage consumated within 3 hours of the ceremony. So glad we did it that way, as I would have regretted not shagging in my wedding dress.

We were similar. Started dating officially in 2008, planned to marry 2011 but got our first home as an emergency instead. We tied the knot in 2013.
Suffice to say we were both definitely not virgins by that point.

We did - room had a fancy spa bath so wanted to try that out. Moved to the bed for sex - the location was pretty much only used for weddings and the bed in the bridal suite had a distinct dip in the middle of it. So on that basis I would say most couples do get to consumate the wedding

Love a bride in white stockings/suspenders something about the white virginal look. Go with the flow on the day and if it happens in the evening enjoy if not make up for it the following day. Don’t stress over it though.

We did - The biggest tip is just not to drink too much throughout the day (especially, I think for the grooms). If I’d been as drunk as I get when I’m a guest at a wedding, there’s a 0% chance it would have happened.
To be honest, I was so buzzing from what a great day it had been, I wasn’t really tired at all. It was just the cherry on top of a perfect day.

You lucky thing. I feel like I need a re-run of our honeymoon, some guy sneezed on the train and I ended up bedridden with a nasty cold for 12 of the 14 days of ours

We didn’t on our night as some have said, it takes ages to get out of the dress and hair pins.
That combined with the free bar meant I was asleep long before her.
But, that’s what the honeymoon is for, so we made up for it.
