Aww I can’t go into too much detail as I don’t like to talk about other people in my family on here. But I will say I have a very close relative with an aggressive cancer which she has been fighting for about 10 years now… It has made her very disabled and she did have an operation and needed carers coming in. And let’s just say it they turned when they felt like it, there was 101 excuses not to do this that and the other, because of health and safety, et cetera. The only meal they would prepare for her was a microwave meal, and with her recovering from the cancer she wants good fuel in the tank, not rubbish. It seemed like they were more of a liability than anything else. She ended up having relatives staying over night, taking it in turns. Of course she accepted the help from social care because it was there for free for so long, but yeah, with red tape it has made things more difficult with what careers can do and then some of them were using it as an excuse to do things they didn’t want to do…
