I love the smell of freshly cut wood, wood shavings etc. Roses
Candles when you’ve just blown them out and coffee (I can’t stand the taste but the smell is bliss!)
Evening rain on hot tarmac at the end of a beautiful June day
the smell after the rain, fresh bedding, petrol & the lingering smell of tresemme in the bed
I know what you mean @Kitty-Cat01, I detest the taste of coffee, but really like the aroma.
Oohh yes! I love that after the rain smell and you can’t beat the clean bedding smell. Not a fan of petrol though sorry!
When I was a kid in the 60s, several members of my family ran what we’d now call corner shops: they sold newspapers, sweets, cigarettes …and tins of pipe tobacco. To this day, the moist, sweet pungency of pipe tobacco makes me feel all calm, safe and cosy.
I love pipe smoke, too. Not something you get a lot of these days!
each to their own I suppose its the memory or emotions we attach to them ![]()
The sea love the smell
The woods after it has just rained, smoke from a campfire or wood burner, freshly fired gunpowder, a sleepy dog, the salty sea on my wife after a swim and her used knickers (especially if it’s been a warm day).
Sorry I know the last one might be a bit yuck but you like what you like!
Love the smell of Chocolate
Actual citrus, like lime juice on my fingers after mixing a cocktail
(not the fake citrus of cleaning products)
Petrol and freshly laid asphalt. Seems a lot of people like petrol.
Petrol
Husband’s armpits
Wet summer pavements
Honeysuckle
All these at once and I might just pass out with happiness.
Got me feet up watching 48hours, life’s good ![]()
My top fav smells are. Pumpkin yankee candles, pine resin from the tree and also gingerbread i think there all fantastic smells and i adore them all
… so that’s your feet you’re favourite smelling ![]()
Freshly ground coffee
Bacon / mushrooms / onion / garlic on the BBQ (any one of them or a combo)
Suncream.
I like coconuts!
They smell like ladies lying in the sun….
And if I had my way
There’d be a coconut for everyone
