I don’t believe I suggested anywhere that you, or anyone else with no other options try to survive without a car. I simply said I didn’t drive a car because I don’t currently need one and that I think it would be a good idea if we encouraged people to stop being reliant on cars/making short journeys with them. But, as your very defensive reaction shows, people really don’t like being told to think outside the box (car) so I won’t hold my breath!
I find the idea that people define themselves through what they drive utterly ludicrous and the concept of owning multiple vehicles (when you can personally only drive one at once) ridiculous. But you do you. I’ll be spending my petrol/insurance/car tax money on other things that don’t actively contribute to destruction of the planet .
I think the thing that provokes the defensive reactions is your unsolicited lecturing of others when the question had nothing to do with whether we should be driving cars, whether we should define ourselves by them or anything else.
It was a light hearted question about what you drive and have you shagged in… See ‘holly_love’s’ reply to me and you’ll see the kind of direction this was supposed to head in.
If you don’t drive or enjoy a bit of fun in a vehicle then I am not sure why you even replied. Oh sorry yes I do, because you enjoy lecturing others from upon high as you are obviously so pious and perfect.
I had a 1987 Honda Goldwing Aspencade we had sex on it , it was plush ! Had sex on multiple motorcycle before that that were a bit more challenging .
Currently a Suzuki XL-7 and my Geo Tracker , not much chance of either being christened . Best chance is in our Roadtrek Popular M/H .
Used to have nice sporty cars when I was in my 20’s and early 30’s now since I’ve had a child I’ve got a proper family wagon lol.
Had sex in one of the old sporty cars but wouldn’t do it on the seats as I didn’t want her dripping on my nice bucket seats lol as they weren’t leather lol. Not had sex in the wagon as we don’t really get any child free time.
@SW2003 and others, I honestly think what @DreamsOfChi was saying is simply that she doesn’t need a car because she lives in a city with good public transport. The fact that not owning a car helps the environment is of course true, and if someone lives in a city and can cope without a car then it’s a great thing to do for the environment. Those of us who don’t have access to decent and reliable public transport or have other reasons for needing a car shouldn’t feel bad about driving, I don’t think that was the point of what @DreamsOfChi was saying. Please try to be polite and respectful to each other, it’s what makes the forum a friendly place!
I won’t share the car that I drive but will say that it’s far too small for any comfortable sexy time! I’ve tried it once in a similarly small car and won’t be repeating the experience in this one
With respect, I think that’s exactly what DreamsOfChi was saying.
And her reply to me where she looks down on people who ‘define themselves’ by their cars and pokes at me for daring to own more than one (they all have different uses), just reinforces this further.
I normally drive my wife’s '06 beetle and we’ve fooled around in it (back seats fold down so we can lay down). I’ve had a road HJ in my '97 Volvo S70 but i’m selling it. I now drive an '04 L200 pickup so hopefully some rear bed fun under the stars could be in the future
I have an old Corsa during the week, it’s in such a state that i’d never have the nerve to suggest fooling around in it. It hasnt seen a vacuum in years!
I have a Porsche Boxster for the weekend, which is not only far too small to do anything in, my OH has made it crystal clear on a number of ocassions that she does not like it and that it “doesn’t do anything for her”
