What cheered me up recently

@wildflower believe me you are an incredibly sexy woman. I get a bit mesmerized by your boobies (and I’m definitely straight). @WillC I feel for you. I spent years telling him “well I’m not am I!” If he said I was sexy. However my Dad always answers the phone to me “hello beautiful” I love that. Women are bloody complicated

Aww thank you @Mrs.John ! Weirdly I accept compliments from people on here better than those that I get from my husband. I made the mistake of saying all the stuff that your wife says @WillC and as a result my husband just stopped bothering. I then had to prompt him into saying nice things which felt wrong . I’ll admit I’m complicated , my wants and needs seem to vary from day to day. It’s no wonder he feels unsure of whether to say anything or not!

From what i have seen of both @Mrs.John and @wildflower you’re both gorgeous ladies, us men of few words use them sparingly, but when we do speak, it’s because we mean it! I tell my OH

Under floor heating in my bathroom as I prepped the skirting boards for painting. I can highly recommend this inexpensive luxury for anyone upgrading their bathroom. The warmth on your feet in the morning is amazing.

Sounds heavenly, living on my narrow boat means the floor is always cold, nice in the heat of summer but certainly keeps you moving in the winter. Foot stools by the log burner are the order of the day. :slightly_smiling_face:

My log burner will be cheering me up this evening !

There is no pun here about the love of hot wood.

Freshly chopped wood (if that doesn’t bring tears to the eyes) has a wonderful aroma too when I bring it in the house and put it in the sun

My mum text me today and said I was stunning. I know she has to say it but it still gives me a lift

The guy on the phone at the local council. It must be a department where they get a lot of difficult customers but he was friendly, polite, very helpful AND resolved my query.

After a super busy day, this evening I’ve got round to opening my new wax melts which I bought from a small business at a craft fair (pre lockdown 2.0) and it is just the MOST gorgeous scent and has made me very happy and relaxed.

I normally do my lecture notes as a physical write up in notebooks but with how my wrists have been that’s not feasible anymore. Having my notes in different formats would bug me so not only did i think I’d need to type up notes for any new lectures, but I’d also have to go back and redo all my written notes for this year so far.

When i mentioned about stressing because of this, my friend offered to send me her notes for all the modules we share
