Seeing @lovehoney_brenna’s pup!

Generally seeing cute baby animals makes me coo and smile, baby humans really not so much! :joy:

A work colleague thanking me for putting a good word in for her to our boss, resulting in her getting more hours permanently added to her contract.

Nice one @WillC :+1:

For me, and with apologies to the many of you in Tier3:
A pub lunch!

I enjoyed a lovely hour and a half in the salon earlier. I was my hairdressers last appointment for the day so she went to town and pampered me.

Ray Mears said wood warms you three times:
Collecting, chopping and burning
and one -
eating hot dinners!

Pah!
Those of us in Tier 3 will creep around over Christmas, infecting the rest of the nation…

Sorry - I won’t, of course. I’m staying put with my own household and my own turkey. The rellies can sod off for a bit.

What cheered me up was a Netflix binge and I think the personality of the key character has now infiltrated my soul, so I’m sounding like him. It will pass… does anyone else get that after watching something good?

Anyway, anyone who likes police drama and a bit of retro with sci-fi thrown in, could do worse than Life on Mars followed by Ashes to Ashes :sunglasses: :+1:

Sorry, didn’t work out well for him

“I’m happy, hope you’re happy too…”
Not so bad?

Anyway - both great series, with great music in the background…

I can’t pass that by without linking it… :slightly_smiling_face:

@Ian_Chimp have you got a link to the original Ashes to Ashes video?
My eldest put me onto the series, without knowing the song or the significance of the white clown. I can’t find the original.

This is it I think :+1:t2: Big fan of both Bowie and the two series, so I’m with you @MsR!

@SexInTheCity Fab - thank you!
I can’t post from Lovehoney to the kids WhatsApp on my phone - that probably has a direct link to the devil and Special Branch, but I’ll take note and pass it on…

If you click on the title of the video (so where it says across the top David Bowie (Official Video), it should take you to the YouTube page and then you’ll be able to share via messaging apps from there! (and without the LH trail for the kids!)

Thanks - got it!
They are surprisingly into the music I liked as a teen, and like me they are gradually tracing the links back to Bowie etc - I’m waiting for them to discover Velvet Underground, but one likes Dire Straits as a good way to learn to play, and another likes modern rap, the appeal of which evades me at the moment…
Still, music in a time of Covid - all good!

What cheered me up today: My biiiiiiiig Lovehoney delivery finally arriving after a bit of delay from Royal Mail! And on initial impressions absolutely loving it all.

And a really good day at work today too.

Lots of things to be happy about

Ah Keeley Hawes. There’s another one my husband likes and I can see his point.

After all, he likes me, so his taste must be terrific :joy:

@MsR there is talk from the creators that they’re working on a new series combining both casts, i wonder what Bowie track they title it? Golden Years?
Also, did anyone ever see the U.S. version? with Harvey Keitel as Gene Hunt? I must admit i prefered their ending/explanation! Heresy i know!

@WillC I didn’t know either of those things!
Do you know where the US version is streaming?
