What cheered me up recently

Hahaha, I feel these things just become the norm for us :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Face time with my 10 month old grandson. Even though I will be watching him tomorrow it still cheered me up. I can’t get enough of that little boy.

I just got a puppy yesterday :heart: I was going to get one at Easter 2020 but couldn’t as I had to shield. Then work commitments stopped me again, but now it’s finally happened  I have a new wee furry friend

Who’s da good puppy dog?? So cute.

Shelter/rescue, I hope We foster beagles that the shelters don’t have room for any more. There are so many. Winston has been with us since mid-Dec. and is the best dog we have fostered.

@hwmorehead Wee pup is called Fudge, he’s a Labrador x goldendoodle. I got him from a breeder as I can’t get a rescue because I work with children of various ages. I did try a few and was told the same thing. It’s sad that there’s so many dogs in rescues

He’s still available, if you are on the west side of the pond.

He’s achingly friendly with both other dogs, and people. The neighbor kids (pre-K thru grade school) love him (and vice versa). Scratch his ears, and you have a friend for life.

Getting chatted up by some beautiful welsh women in Cardiff, obviously I’m married but it’s a nice boost even at 40:smiley:& they were in their early 30’s.

Saw Bleak Expectations in London with the fabulous Stephen Fry as the narrator.

Lots of laughs were had throughout :purple_heart:

Just wait until you are in your 60s and get flirted up by much younger women . It makes this old guy’s day ! Does not happen often enough . Every once in a while I get invited to go to their place and I have to politely decline , even though my wife has told she is fine with it as long as she does not know .

OOPs , forgot what I came to this thread for . Yesterday after trying to get a big ride in to test my new gearing on my big street bike for the last three weeks , I finally got a nice ride in . Buddy bowed out in the wee hours just before planned ride , so it was just me . Was a little cool leaving my house and was teated to a quick look at a cub bear crossing the road . It cooled as I approached the first mountain pass at 5,430 feet . As I neared the pass it was shrouded in a cloud and pretty close to 40F . I had to stop and put on my rain gear . As I rode down in elevation it warmed up , I had to pull over and remove the rain gear . When I arrived at Yakima WA. , basically in a desert region it was approaching 80F before noon . Stopped for lunch in a little town on the east slopes , had planned on a little burger shop but it was closed . The first 90 miles was slower speed , twisty roads . From Yakima home was interstate , what this bike is for . With the gearing change it is now in it’s sweet spot between 75-80 MPH . Yay !

I’ve been talking to my sister, and she’s planning on booking her engagement party for next month. We don’t get to see each other very often, and I’m really looking forward to it. And the perfect excuse to go shopping too :joy:

Being told via a third party how liked and respected i am and how much i have taught people at work, and that colleagues love it when we are paired up, and how much my dry sense of humour makes people laugh.

I won Euromillions. I’m rich. Rich I tell you. Only buy an occasional ticket and it paid off. I can retire.

What? £3.90 isn’t enough to retire on?! Sheesh.
