Personally, I tend to avoid overly bright or neon shades. I find softer, more muted tones much more appealing. Gentle pastels like light blue, lavender, and soft pink are my favorites—they give a more subtle and aesthetically pleasing look. There’s something about those delicate hues that feels both calming and elegant!
Pastel colours or light colours but it really just depends on what options are available for the toy in question.
I love bright colours especially with dildos - I have a great orange and yellow dildo https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex-toys/dildos/non-realistic-dildos/p/romp-dizi-non-realistic-dildo-7-inch/86976.html
To me I hate black or flesh tone
I am in the variety pack of colors . Most are red , purple , flesh tones and one multi bright colored bands . The last one is super fun to watch each band disappear , especially on video . If my wife were active and I could get her head out of the mind set of a school marm from the 1800s , I would have a variety of shapes and crazy colors .
I love pink and purple toys and everything else for that matter
Variety, I like a vast variety. If there’s a new toy out that I want in a colour I don’t have, I will generally go with the new colour. I definitely favour bright colours over pastels though and try to avoids pinks and particularly peaches. I generally avoid realistic. I love the darkish teal green of my Duo 2, beautiful colour and different to all my other sex toys.
The brighter the better! I like have a toy box with an array of colours so am definitely drawn to things that aren’t your typical blacks and purples lately.
I am the opposite , I prefer a realistic cock shaped dildo . The bulbous head and veins add to the feeling along with balls indicating I used the whole length . This also could be due to my bisexaual fantasy to replace my anal toys with I nice cock .
I don’t particularly care about the colour. I don’t really have brown, and if there’s an alternative to bright pink I’d choose it but it’s more about what it does than how it looks for me ![]()
There’s something to be said about function over finish. And agree its job is more important than anything.
It would be pastel for me with toys, in fact the colour would sway whether I buy or not or choose a different item. I love the lavender, lemon colours.
For dildos, I prefer realistic and usually BBC, though the clear looks nice too.
My glass ones are obviously clear.
@Peitho Yes! A selection of colours keeps it interesting ![]()
We’re all different and that’s a good thing
I already have my OH’s real cock, I prefer my toys to look like toys.
I do agree with @MsSubExperimenter and @JGood that function is certainly the most important thing but if it’s a toy I’m planning to get for it’s function I do like to pick a colour I like.
Oh I absolutely choose a colour I like if there’s a choice, but it’s not enough to put me off buying something if there’s not ![]()
Agreed. When my wonderful pink Melt, because there were no other colours at the time I got it, died after a long and wonderful service, I ordered a replacement in blue. It didn’t work, Lovehoney sent a replacement in blue, it didn’t work (but differently to the first one). I sent both back (one buzzing every 30 mins in transport
) and was told, “Yep, faulty, no more blue in stock (though I suspect they’d had a bad bunch of blue in), would I like a pink instead?” My answer, yes, definitely because it was my favourite toy. Pink arrived, worked perfectly. If the toy’s good enough, I don’t care about the colour but given a choice no pinks or pastels, please.

Thats a lovely colour
You know, that is something I have never thought about!
For me clear, black and flesh tone is what most my toys are in but ideally I’m not that fussed as long as they don’t stain
Our we-vibe touch X has the same colour, very fetching indeed!!!
I like purple, but then purple is my favourite colour so I’m gonna be biased ![]()
