What do you do with the toys you don't like?

I must admit I have quite a large collection now. I enjoy collecting things, organizing them by type, looking at them, storing them efficiently. I never really considered my collecting bug would extend to sex toys.

I have a pile of toys that I just don’t like for whatever reason. Some are cheaply made, others are just not what I expected. I had some which were completely unused and in original packaging, which I gifted to friends so I can share the love so to speak.

For now I have stuck the left overs in a bag called “rejects”

I don’t want to use them but I also don’t feel ready to toss them away. They have been removed from the packages and washed so I don’t feel comfortable gifting them.

What do you do with your rejects? In the bin? Hold onto them for research purposes? Donate them to science? Display them on the wall?

Am I a wasteful person if I just toss them in the bin eventually?

I know some people sell them on other sites like Fetlife, but personally I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that. I have many that I didn’t like or wasn’t compatible with me. I’ve disposed of a few at a recycling centre due to batteries admitting a funny smell. The rest I kept in a separate box. I should probably get rid of them though

I tried to recycle mine through a sex toy recycling company but they never came back to me, so they were… dismissed from the line of active duty (discharged, bagged and binned) :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Unfortuantley we just end up binning them, we have 100s of toys and to be honest only a handful ever get used so after a year or so of not being used they getting thrown which is a bit of a waste. LH did have a recyle program, not sure if its still up

There are loads of places to sell or recycle toys and underwear. I did list a bunch of names but then had a horrible feeling I was breaking a myriad of rules, even though there were no direct links, and @Lovehoney_Brenna might of dragged me over the coals, so I’ve deleted them.
I’ll repost if anyone can confirm it would of been ok.

Just google for them.

I’ve been pretty lucky as with the toys I don’t like I donate them to my male friends

My lady friends have been very appreciative of the things I’ve donated but I feel weird donating the unboxed stuff, even if it’s not used.

I didn’t even know that sex toy recycling existed! Do they break them down and just generally recycle them? I also didn’t know there were websites dedicated to donating/selling toys. How interesting.

I’m glad it’s not just me with this problem! I Posted a topic a few days ago about this and it got removed and I can understand why, it could look like soliciting, but I meant it sincerely.

I have a Dildo I simply don’t want and he is sitting rent free in a freebie wash bag. I haven’t got the heart to get rid of him when I’ve hardly used him, He’s a girthy one so he weighs an absolute ton of course and triggers off my FND just trying to pick him up.

I think I’m going to have to bin him and living with a hoarder dad who sifts through the bin, that is going to be nice and easy, isn’t it?!:rofl::rofl:

I haven’t got round to disposing of battery toys yet, although I have got a C ring which is kind of rubbish that I want to get rid of but don’t know how to do it… Any ideas?

For all electrical toys, the best thing is to bag them and drop the bag in the electrical recycling skip at your nearest tip.

Anything with electrical circuits shouldn’t be placed in the bin.

I have done that a couple of times. So long as you dont take a see through bag, no one is the wiser, they’re all too busy getting rid of their own rubbish.

You sound quite justifiably proud so maybe have him mounted on a plinth and give him pride of place on a shelf somewhere.

:rofl::rofl::rofl: Noooo!! it’s the ugliest thing in the world!! That’s why I don’t want it. When I got it out the box I was like…:face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_monocle::weary_face:

Meanwhile I got another Mr. Chunk last week that was half the price and made of silicone and I was like :smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes::smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes::smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes: straight out the box and he has velvety skin and is gorgeous and I want to put him on the windowsill next to my Minton vase!

I usually say to mine, keep it, throw it, do whatever you like with it! It’s now yours :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Yeah, it’s not good for the environment at all is it? And the money I’ve spent… or should I say wasted

But it’s been a bit of a better week this week because two vibrators I didn’t like before I have found worked better in different ways. I had a G part one thats like a big rod and has absolutely no flexibility in it. Now how that is supposed to get around a woman’s inside anatomy I have absolutely no idea. It’s like sticking a barge pole up a U bend.

However, it does make a good one for the body and has soft vibrations which I prefer for the clit. So I guess sometimes it pays to hold onto them for a bit.

I did have another dildo which was an absolute letdown, it was the same dimensions as the lifelike lover one I have from here (which I love) but I didn’t want because I wanted one that was a different size. And it was made of the same colour and plastic that they used to make toys with in the late 80s and early 90s, so all I can think when I see it, is eight year-old me playing with my old dollies. Not the sort of thing I want to be thinking about when using it!!

But as it is tapered it makes the ideal anal dildo so that is exactly it’s new job role in the workplace now :face_with_monocle: but old Mr. Chunk is still a regrettable buy,
