Hello, forgive me if this has already been asked but I did try and research first. Also, this is my new post on this forum.
Anyway, I’m a single female toy user, I’ve got a bit of a collection of toys now including four rabbit G spot vibrators (one being a triple stimulator). One double penetration vibrator, one thrusting vibrating big bullet type thing, four dildos (with two more on the way), one vibrating and thrusting dildo, three vibrating c-rings with two more arriving soon, one clitoral suction rose with bullet, one vibrating butt plug and plain jelly plug, one double penetration c-ring to add to my toys. That’s as far as I can remember!
so I really should be content with all that, but it’s only making me want more! And I keep seeing so much said about wands and bullets, it has piqued my curiosity. Also I love the idea of a stimulator for the rest of my body as I’m so used to pelvic area stimulation.
my question is though, as someone who is disabled and suffering a lot with pain, what is the difference between a massage wand and an infrared vibrating massager? My infrared massager belongs to someone else so I never thought to use it in that way… just curious. I even have a massage gun but that one is like being beaten up to a pulp! No way would I find that stimulating.
Anyway, I would be interested to know all of your thoughts, a lot has been explainec about wands, but there’s no videos that I can access with save search to find out. Just curios and hello to you all…
Lovehoney has a fantastic blog post on this topic which I’ll link below for you - it explains more; a massaging wand is the same as a wand, minus the motion you’d get from a massage gun.
The magic wand was originally invented as a body massager until people found that aching muscles weren’t the only thing that could be massaged with it.
Obviously, it won’t have the infra red heating, and probably won’t be as intense as a massage gun
Thanks for the link, Stacey. It was very informative. I’ve given it a bit of time to see if there’s any other replies.
I don’t know what to think though, it still sounds a lot like this cheapo ancient infrared body massager i’ve got from the late 90s!
And then here’s everyone waxing lyrical about their £100+ massage wands, there’s got to be something they’re doing that this one isn’t? I just want to know!
i’m still open to the idea of a body stimulator, if someone can come up with a massager that replicate two big hands I would be extremely happy!!
Thanks for sharing Steve, didn’t realise guys used these things as well. I don’t hear much said about disabled people on these forums at all, it’s like disabled people aren’t meant to have a sex drive are they? Mine is more of a neck and upper limb disability which is why I need help from my toys so much, to give my arms and fingers a break! All the nerve pain pills numb the bodies response as well. I use orgasms as a way to cope with my life drama.
Still interested in what makes these bullets different from my cranky old massager though…
My disability is MS and am effected by muscle spasms and my right leg and arm are both very weak. The wand is used on my legs and back to relax thee muscles. I hear on here that people use the wand around the balls and cock during masterbation but I have not tried that. May try later. @Hannahnim
Aww that is a real nasty illness that seems to be coming more and more common, we had at least three families in our road with MS at one point. My sister thinks I’ve got that as her friend got diagnosed only after a lumber puncture, but it’s like banging your head against a wall trying to get listened to and tests with how the NHS is at the moment.
They dumped me with an FND diagnosis and told me to get on with it basically, I’m having a fresh load of scans later this week which I’m dreading and I’m guessing I’ll get nowhere further with it. My problem is my neck and it’s spasming, I use heat on it a lot and have always got at least two tens machines going and I’ve got lots of gadgets to do everything so vibrators were a very natural progression for me!
i’m quite surprised you haven’t used the wand in the way everyone else is using it, why not try it? I’m guessing the MS drains you a lot as it is, I understand how doing even the most basic tasks can absolutely destroy you when you are disabled so when you have gadgets to help it makes life just a little bit easier! And means you can get more done.
Thank you @Hannahnim its so good to hear from someone having similar issues. I have lots of things to help with everyday tasks and my wife is wonderful and helps with everything. I tried the massager today when trying to masterbate but found it didnt really do anything for me. ED is my issue when trying to sort myself out unfortunately.
Regarding your diagnosis I had a lumber puncture which i believe confirmed things back in 1983. I think now MRI scans are used and tell them more. I hope you get a scan / LB soon to confirm things. Try to stay positive and don’t give up.
Oh thank you so much, I’ve got my scans are on Friday so i’m just hoping the heat is gone by then
I’ve got the opposite problem to you, my nervous system is really overactive, it’s like i’m in constant fight or flight mode and I’m really easily stimulated (as you might have already noticed! ) but jokes aside it has some terrible side effects and heart trouble and really bad anxiety is just one of them.
I’d love to recommend something that solves your situation but all I can say is just try to eat and drink as healthy as you can, it’s something really overlooked but it does help. I find magnesium is a wonder supplement for nerve trouble as well.
And I have found nerve calming medications have helped me a little, I’m thinking surely if there is something to calm it down there are ones too boost it up? Just a thought.
Turned out some Japanese house wives found alternative uses and the legend was born.
Lots of wands can still be used for both massaging and sexual stimulation… but…
By design, the massaging types are fairly powerful - some will love them for both uses, but some, like my wife, will find intense wands just to much for her clit.
Some smaller wands design more specifically for sexual stimulation will be to weak or have high frequency vibrations that doesn’t work well for actual body massaging.
So it very much depends on you - are you a power queen when it comes to clitoris stimulation? If so, a strong wand (like a Doxy) is probably right up your street amd will work for both.
If you’re like my wife and prefer your vibes on the 1st setting only, most wands (depending on power control) will be too much for sexual stimulation
That said, the we-vive wand is the only one I know that offer impressively rumbly vibes, with a control range that will work for my wife’s bits and for massaging.
Reminds me of the magic wand in sex and the city and back then there was none in our country and getting it shipped meant different plugs and that.. love honey has very highly rated wands I noticed, tonnes of reviews
Thanks for all your feedback here, I saw a wand that was in a £15 sale and I just had to get it! Of course the fact that it was in a gorgeous lilac helped a lot. It arrived yesterday and I used it last night to de-stress and it was very enjoyable, I went on to use another toy afterwards and it just reminded me a lot of of my infrared massager one but more smaller so a little more user friendly. And the vibrations are good, although I’m thinking more for body stimulation then clit it is still very nice!
In short – I get it, although I still don’t get people paying £50+ for these, maybe theirs have superpowers or something!
