Spirit in the Sky - Norman Greenbaum
I just loved every track on it the first time I played it!
Iāve bought other albums and disliked certain tracks so much that Iāve done the same as you and skipped them but then later after not hearing them for years Iāve suddenly started liking them!
I remember buying Rushās 2112 album because someone I knew raved about how good it was, then I found I didnāt much like it and @WillC will be horrified to hear this
but I sold it! Years later I regretted that because Rush really grew on me. I suppose just an example of how musical taste can alter with age.
The first Rush song i heard was Spirit of Radio and the b-side was The Trees and i just knew they were my sort of band. I religiously followed them and loved how they smashed boundaries musically and lyrically. They remain to this day my favourite band ever.
I was a fan of Iron Maiden from the first single Running Free onwards and to me the Powerslave album is them at their peak from songs to album art. I actually saw them both nights at Birmingham Odeon on that tour in 1984.
I donāt love everything they have done, but I love most of it.
I am a music geek/need and I donāt love one specific genre. I just love a good tune!
I love the fact that I saw all the great bands I their prime apart from The Beatles. But you canāt have everything!
Great Things - Echobelly
Still buzzing after their gig last week - one of my Britpop faves, as much as I liked Oasis and Blur, it was some of the other bands like Echobelly, Suede and Sleeper that I enjoyed!
Carry On Wayward Son-Kansas. A sing along song!
Planet Rock played the 2 mins silence followed byā¦.
Tears in heaven - Clapton
Mamma Iām coming home - Ozzy.
