What music are you listening to right now?

I’m listening to “The Ideal Copy” by Wire.

Day off work after working over the weekend and I was scrolling through Facebook and got drawn in by a random clip of Anthony Vincent covering Wannabe in the style of System of a Down. I have now been sucked down a rabbit hole listening to his stuff, particular favourites being Rammstein’s Du Hast sung by Elvis Presley, Nickelback’s How You Remind Me sung by Frank Sinatra and The Wheels on the Bus sung by Rammstein!

I had a similar experience listening to Richard Cheese (Dick?) familiar rock and pop tunes done in a big band/lounge style. His version of The Trees by Rush always makes me laugh!
See also In A Metal Mood by Pat Boone (You probably know his version of Crazy Train from The Osbournes) and Paul Anka also did something similar!

I love his version of “Chop Suey” from “Tuxicity”!

Heading out now but I’ll have to look up the others later, thanks for the recommendations :+1:

A Different Corner…George Michael

“Take me back in time maybe I can forget…
Turn a different corner and we never would have met…”

This is so so true…I changed my usual Sunday route due to going out later than planned to a more well lit route…met someone so so special.

I heard “Forever young” but Alphaville on the radio the other day and have played that a few times on YouTube.

Also Hayley Westenra.

Whitney Houston this morning.

@WillC didn’t think there would be any dream theater fans on here . One of my favourite bands.

Best of times has a rather tasty solo doesn’t it

Definitely! Been a fan since Images and Words and seen them numerous times! Mike Portnoy is my hero after Neil Peart! Can’t wait to see what they produce now he’s back with them!

Exactly the same as, images is still the best closely followed by awake. Petrucci is my hero, I’ve spent countless years trying to play as good as him to no avail! I really wanted to see them on the reunion tour but it was way too expensive. Apparently they’ll be dropping a new song very soon.

Yeah, and one gig in London is not a U.K. tour! Love Petrucci’s work! My favourite album is Scenes From A Memory! Love Awake too! :metal:
Seems like they’re dropping a line of lyrics per band member over 5 days!

Scenes is up there definitely for me, to be honest everything from images to black clouds I’m a fan of, I like some of the mangini era stuff but something was definitely missing. I did think the last 2 distance/view was definitely a step in the right direction.

I’ve got a 7 hour playlist that I use when I’ve got a long day work, seeing as tomorrow I’m starting at 3am and got a 3.5 hour drive to London and back it’ll be on all day
