I’m listening to “The Ideal Copy” by Wire.
Day off work after working over the weekend and I was scrolling through Facebook and got drawn in by a random clip of Anthony Vincent covering Wannabe in the style of System of a Down. I have now been sucked down a rabbit hole listening to his stuff, particular favourites being Rammstein’s Du Hast sung by Elvis Presley, Nickelback’s How You Remind Me sung by Frank Sinatra and The Wheels on the Bus sung by Rammstein!
I had a similar experience listening to Richard Cheese (Dick?) familiar rock and pop tunes done in a big band/lounge style. His version of The Trees by Rush always makes me laugh!
See also In A Metal Mood by Pat Boone (You probably know his version of Crazy Train from The Osbournes) and Paul Anka also did something similar!
I love his version of “Chop Suey” from “Tuxicity”!
Heading out now but I’ll have to look up the others later, thanks for the recommendations
Yeah it’s a laugh! Oh and the Paul Anka album is Rock Swings.
Heart 80s is always a good radio channel to listen to! Also One Word Music Game: One Word Song
Was watching some of these last night.
Some absolute crackers on there. Such a versatile voice.
A Different Corner…George Michael
“Take me back in time maybe I can forget…
Turn a different corner and we never would have met…”
This is so so true…I changed my usual Sunday route due to going out later than planned to a more well lit route…met someone so so special.
