Okay, watching Supernatural… and keep getting advert trailers for Reacher (not a problem as I love that too but can’t start the new series until my OH is around as that’s a watch together show) but Reacher is being trailed with a Carry On My Wayward Son soundtrack, anyone who knows Supernatural knows Carry On My Wayward Son is the overriding song on that and my phone’s ringtone is Carry On My Wayward Son so, yeh, listening a lot to Kansas, Carry On My Wayward Son at the moment

Reacher is one of the best series ever! I’ll be watching it over the weekend.

You’ve inspired me to listen to Carry On My Wayward Son next  Good choice for a ringtone actually!

At the mo I’m listening to Soldier Of Fortune - Deep Purple

Yes, saw the ad yesterday and immediately thought of Supernatural, Carry On Wayward Son is one of my favourite songs from well before Supernatural! Am going to watch all three eps of Reacher Saturday or Sunday, then it will be the long slog until the next episode! Oh and Yngwie Malmsteen does a great cover version!

Yeah, love The Shadowman Incident too, and the recurring musical motifs that crop up throughout.
I got the set with the Dolby Atmos and 5.1 bluray and the visuals that accompany each song are amazing! :metal:

@WillC shadow man’s a great track, the instrumental section 10 minutes in is fantastic.

I’m not massively fussed about dead asleep and midnight messiah but still will listen to them but everything else is quality.

I enjoyed most of the mangini material except the astonishing but really had to warm up to most of it, this got me from the first listen, in fact the first day I listened to it 4 times start to finish. So glad portnoys back

Me too, there was definitely something lacking without him, loved his creative set lists for live shows, often saw them multiple times on the same tour.
The Astonishing promised so much, but delivered bad musical theatre in my opinion.
The tracks you mention are a bit DT by numbers, but still good.
Think my favourite Mangini album is Distance Over Time, favourite Portnoy? Too tough to choose! Scenes From A Memory, Images and Words, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, Awake, Falling Into Infinity?
Do you like any of Portnoy’s side projects? Flying Colors, Transatlantic, Winery Dogs?
