What to do with old sex toys

I feel with a site like this it’s kind of important to establish that some people often buy things for a temporary thrill or price-wise something they wouldn’t regret parting with if they have to. I myself have parted with a fair share of toys.

But for those who are unsure, does anyone have any tips for disposing of or recycling old sex toys?

My husband generally takes them apart - I think it’s a man thing

On the lighter side, we once bought a suction cup dildo that was far too big. In wondering what to do with it, we briefly entertained the idea of going to our local market town, surreptitiously sticking it on an empty shop window and retiring to the cafe next door to watch what happened
Of course we didn’t, but it gave us a laugh thinking about it

As a tinkerer of a man myself I have taken apart toys and things that I think have useful bits in them, what does hubby do with them once dismantled? I in the past have kept still working components for other uses but there is a lot that’s not recyclable.

This isn’t a put down, I’d genuinely love to see what he’s come up with, one tinkerer to another if he is one.

More difficult to do in our society of CCTV but that is an idea I could envision to be highly entertaining and extremely embarrassing. At least you have carrot cake and coffee to watch it all go by with.

@JGood - the toys woman use are generally bigger and more powerful than the ones men use - and my husband is trying to make a modified cock using the more powerful motor of my old dildos - so far it’s worked quite well - but it’s a work in progress

Council electronic tip … glass or metal into the recycling bin

If it’s unusable then I sneak it out into the bin but if it’s in good condition then I give them to some of my naughty friends who get excited about what I’ll bring them next

Thank you! I hadnt realised LH did this. Shame their recycling address isn’t as discrete compared to when they ship though… being from a rural area, not sure i want the ladies at the local post office to know what I’m sending back :joy:

You can get the Royal Mail to pick it up from home and most don’t look at the address or you can use the drop off post system you get at most supermarkets and not have to worry about anyone knowing your business.

Being rural Scotland myself I know what it’s like to have everyone think they have a right to your daily happening.

We have lots of unused toys, I party considered selling them on (apparently there is a market similiar to people selling worn socks or underwear) but most of the time unfortunatly they just go in the back of the cupoboard to never be seen again.

Can definitely undersand why the giggle @Trixie-n-Russell
Maybe this might be a new craze like “Yarn Bombing” is for the craft communities, but what would you call it ?.. Dong Dropping ?
