A zester from my mother-in-law.
I can only assume that it was a misguided attempt at humour, but I've still got it and it still gets used, so maybe it wasn't so odd after all
I don't really remember what the gift was (and it doesn't really matter) or when it was given to me (certainly, not on Christmas), but I do remember the words my mother-in-law said when she gave it to me: "I know you don't like ..., but I liked it so much and I decided it to buy it for you!"
And then, silly me, always thought you should buy presents that will be liked by the person you are giving them to and not by you. Lol.
