Hi Troopet75, in my opinion, there is no one such toy that is best for clit. I owned more than 10 of such toys (some are costly) and the latest was the cowgirl machine. Unfortunately some find the cowgirl uncomfortable and some find it unstimulating but it's my best partner.
Based on my experience, some of my clit toys may not be good now but later it became a great toys. My less used wand tied against my clit during a hot ropes night is a good example.
So it really boils down to trial and error, and timing. But I believe most started out with a multi-speed and different rhythms wand vibrator. Buy a quality one. Pay a little more and it last longer.Everyone will have their favourite, but it's always useful to remember that every body is different so everyone can't like everything equally. Do you want it to be a surprise, or are you open to browsing with her? Having her input from the get-go can save a lot of time and money. 🙂
Bullets can be a good starter toy. They're small and discreet enough to be used both alone and together, and are good for precision stimulation. Mrs Chimp prefers the lower frequency (rumbly) toys, as opposed to the higher frequency (buzzy) ones as the buzzy ones can leave her feeling numb. We've found that the rechargeable toys are more likely to be rumbly, but the reviews can tell give you a lot of good info about each specific toy. Suction toys like the Womanizer are well worth a look. They work in a completely different way to regular vibrators, and the stimulation can be pretty intense. 🙂 For some they're a real epiphany, but (like all toys) there are no guarantees, and the expense might make you think twice before buying one on a whim.

Honestly it's a very difficult question to answer.
My wife prefers powerful rumbly vibrations over high frequency buzzy ones but her vibrator preference changes day to day.
This one is her 'never fail' choice but it is very powerful.

Better late than never but I find myself going back to my Tango more often than any of my other clit toys. The battery life is better than most, it's waterproof and easy to clean (like a lot of them) but the vibes are just spot-on for me.
