Which silicone dildo ?

Hi peeps I am looking for treating myself to a new dildo. My king cock is a little old i guess now. The material is PVC which, used without a condom upsets my vagina and I usually get a UTI. So every time I want to use this dildo I have to use a condom, which just like with a real penis, takes away any excitement. So i am looking at silicone dildos, but am a little confused. I like girth as opposed to length, i dont really want anything less than 5" girth as its the girth of my king cock which is 6.5" (I think) that adds to my joint orgasms; which i dont want to lose with getting a new dildo. I am also confused about something else, I was looking at this dildo https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=33705 - it says body safe silicone which is great However, i noticed on new sex toys tab there is now this vixen dildo - https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=40536 - "Temperature-responsive and hypoallergenic' is temperature responsive a good thing? is that something worth paying the extra money for? and can some one explain what hypoallergenic is and the benefits please? is that an especially good thing for me as i have a fussy vagina? Also any dildo (to my specifications) suggestions brought to my attention would be appreciated

Thanks! 🐼

Hypoallergenic means it is designed purposely not to cause an alergic reaction. So by the sounds of it the hypoallergenic would be a great thing for you as it should mean no more condoms needed and from what you say about not liking condoms (must say I do agree) then this would definitely be worth the extra spend. Tempature responsive would be a bonus and mean a more realistic experience. I would go for your second choice, the Vixskin. This seems to meet all your requirements and I couldn’t really argue with that choice. Good luck!

All silicone is hypoallergenic so both dildos will be, so don’t let that be the deciding factor. (I’m not saying that you shouldn’t go for the Vixen, just don’t buy it solely because you think it’s the only hypoallergenic one)

yeah, this. Also, larger silicone dildos are tougher to find because of the expense.

i would look at the range of lovehoney dildo's, the larger realistic silicone ones i would say meet your needs, they are only around £30 as well, so they may be a better option to try and if you have a reaction you haven't spent lots of money to be in the same position as you are now, needing a condom. they are sized at 8" and the girth is around 5 - 5.5".

In theory all silicone should be perfectly body-safe (in practice it comes down to the details of the manufacturing process, in other words, how much confidence you have in the company). I have had no problem with my Vixen Goodfella, and I trust Vixen to produce excellent quality (I haven't ever read or heard anything else).

But you should know that because of the dual-density construction of the VixSkin dildos they actually feel smaller than the measurement would make believe. So if you want girth, the Mustang you linked is probably too small for you. Fortunately, Vixen is something of a specialist for (very) girthy dildos - Lovehoney sell the Maverick https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=28313

Hypoallergenic essentially means that it’s highly unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. Silicone is a great material for sex toys, super body-safe and easy to care for. It would be a great choice for you going forwards I think. I’m super sensitive too and that’s why I stay away from the softer materials as they tend to make my vulva feel like it’s on fire and who wants that whilst they’re trying to orgasm?

If realism is a big feature to you then I’d go with the Vixen. The Mustang is one of the most lifelike toys that I’ve ever used and the quality is fab. It’ll last you a lifetime and for the price, you’d hope so too!

I agree with Talia that the dual-density nature makes it feel a little smaller, so I’d look at the Maverick or the Bandit instead. Maybe even Johnny if you don’t mind the balls?

One last thing to note, Vixen’s suction cups, well, suck. And not in a good way. It’s the only complaint that I have but as I’m fine with manual thrusting it’s not that much of a problem for me but if you prefer to go hands-free, a different brand could work better.

Hope that helps a bit!

Mrs G is a bit of a girth fan however, although somewhat less girthy than the Tantus Cush o2 that was her favourite, this - the Fun Factory Boss:-

has displaced it completely in her affections (and me as well perhaps).
