Who likes picnics?

My OH and I were talking the other day, mentioning we had let play time other than sex and watching movies slip away. We used to do a fair amount of picnics. Bringing some food and being out in a nice park enjoying each others company and relaxing. Your thoughts.

Picnics are great & bring back lots of childhood memories including picky bits for tea :star_struck:

So much fun can be had at picnics, feeding each other nibbles, sitting on your lap, foot rubs in the sun dappled shade, making up naughty stories while drinking Pimms or tea.

Picnics are just great.

Love picnics. We try and get out 3 or 4 times a year to just spread a blanket out, put on some good music and just chill. We also go to an outdoor movie 5 or six times a year at a local cemetary. Just huge mass of people with their picnic baskets, wine and old movies.

I love picnics, outside/in the car or even on a rainy day having it indoors.

I do, but in more private settings, like at home instead of in a public park.

I’m a fan of nature, being outdoors so picnics have always been up my alley.

I didn’t go on them growing up, it wasn’t something we ever did.

I began doing them with my 1st wife when we lived in the middle of the woods in our yard.

Miss Heather and I will have a picnic from time to time in our fenced in backyard.

One thing I like about doing picnics at home is not having to prepare tons and carry it to the car and haul it out to some location.

Having a picnic at home is easier in terms of logistics etc. I don’t have to pack an actual picnic basket either as I can just take things from inside the kitchen straight out to the blanket in the yard.

It’s much easier to run inside to grab something that I’ve “forgotten” too.

I am a fan of picnics.

I love the idea of a picnic but not keen on the reality of it

When we do picnics these days it’s usually low key, a couple sandwiches and some chips and drinks works. It’s about changing things up and playing. Doing a big spread makes it too much work, notenough fun.

Depends on what you pack in those bags and location you choose. Many a paddle has made it into our picnic baskets. There was even a birthday spanking at one of the movie events and the crowd around us did the birthday spanks countdown. That was a pretty fun picnic.

Yogi likes picnics…

OK, I’ll show myself out now…

OK, an edit as maybe folks from England aren’t aware of Yogi.

Yogi Bear is a cartoon character from an old American cartoon decades ago.

He loved stealing picnic baskets. Here is a blurb about him.

“Yogi Bear famously pronounced picnic baskets as “pic-a-nic baskets”. He was known for his insatiable obsession with stealing them from park visitors, often telling his sidekick Boo-Boo, “Hey there, Boo Boo! I’m smarter than the av-er-age bear!” and urging him to help him hunt for them.”

I love picnics, but it’s so bloody hot here most of the time that I hate sitting outside. A beach picnic is amazing! Any excuse to spend time with loved ones eating and talking and relaxing.

Miss Heather I live in the southeastern U.S. where it’s hot quite often.

Miss Heather has known for a long time I like living in the south.

But long ago she asked me why I did.

I causally told her it was because women wear less clothing down in the south compared to up north where it’s colder…

Now I’m not on my own :slightly_smiling_face: (I wasn’t sure if it was just a UK thing or local to me). I also loved Ham, salad and boiled eggs with salad cream, beetroot, pickles and homemade chips

It’s definitely an Aussie thing too, especially when it’s warm weather. The ham and salad also sounds amazing! Ugh I am so hungry now.
