Who practices kegels?

@Simon_101 it might be! But that could also be pro state related. Could you direct me to the post as it’s not coming to my mind

No it was about two years ago lol

They had ED advice for him to sit on a rubber ball behind the scrotum on a solid chair and roll it around to strengthen a muscle.

I can do the stop weeing thing sometimes but it’s really difficult.

I’m getting so unfit now it’s ridiculous btw. The PE is back to terrible now after a temporary improvement after the operation. Now back to under a minute at best

That sounds like same muscle group, so could be @Simon_101 although to me sounds like they are stretching the muscle!

I’m sorry the PE has made a return I can say I find I can control my need more with these exercises as it focuses the mind too

Yes due to my current ED issues, but I’ve not long started and aren’t doing them religiously.

I’ve found I’m much more aware of my PC muscles now during sex and will consciously use them for effect. And since experimenting with an Aneros I’ve gained much more subtle as well as stronger control.

But has it improved anything? I think its too soon to say.

I used to do them years ago, but failed to continue with them. Now being more aware of my body, maybe a better chance to keep at it. So much to get into a day, fitness, meditation, TaiChi, then the house chores and food prep….its a bit overwhelming. And somewhere along the way, some sex play. Makes me tired thinking about it all.

I practice kegels. This is how I learned to have prostate orgasms and hands free orgasms during prostate stimulation. Back when I bought my first prostate massager it was an Aneros. Their web site provide at the time back in 2010 instructions on how to achieve a prostate orgasm and super O. Part of the instructions was on your own practice kegels. The purpose was once the massager was in place you tighten your muscles like doing kegels, but hold it for a minute or two, this started an involuntary contraction of your sphincter. Any how that is how I started with kegels, plus it helps with holding off on cumming too soon when having sex.

That was a nice read.

I always like to hear how folks figure things out in a way that works for THEM. There are a zillion ways to exercise. The BEST way to exercise for someone is to do something they like and want to do so they actually end up doing it!

Many do things they don’t like and surprise, surprise, they don’t stick with it.

And there you are doing multiple different things at different points throughout the day!

I think that’s brilliant, I really do.

That is most likely to help reduce tightness in the pelvic region. Pelvic tightness can cause ED or make it worse.

Like training any muscle you want to lengthen it prior to strengthening it and that does not mean simply stretching for five minutes before strengthening. People who are just starting a strength training program are advised to start with extremely low loads and to do stretching and full range of movement exercises prior to increasing the weight. They are advised to do this for several months. Kegel exercise should be approached the same way after all the pelvic floor is muscles.

The sitting and rolling on a rubber ball helps loosen the muscles. Standard stretching and yoga exercises also help. There are other exercises that can help loosen and lengthen the pelvic muscles.

I recently read an article about young males experiencing ED and they found a connection between their weight lifting exercises and increased ED. The were overtraining with squats, glute exercises, deadlifts, etc. and not lengthening the pelvic muscles.

With that said I’ve read several scientific research articles where Kegels helped with ED.

So do Kegels but use a correct long term training plan or else you may make things worse

Thank you, I love it. It’s called “Top Gun Training” on my planner, and that kind of ties in to a running joke between my partner and me. I call him the Admiral because he plays naval strategy games, and he calls me cadet because of a military romance story we planned but later shelved. The “cadet” in it was loosely based on me.

I’ve also added swimming to my plan today, on Tuesdays. My pool is a bit weird in that sometimes they have schools in so the bottom end is closed off for schools and public swim happens in widths across the mid/deep end. I wanted to work out what would be a “good” amount for me to swim each week; active enough to be consistent without exhausting myself for the rest of the day. I’ve decided 250m, and with my lap counter bracelet with 8 lap beads, I concluded that up and back would be about 40m, times that by 8 is 320m a week. It’s modest, but it’s still exercise that I love. I’m part dolphin at heart!

Finally, I’ve not long got back from a family dog walk. Apart from getting bitten by a horse fly and bleeding I had a lovely time.

Swimming, besides being fun, is an amazing way to exercise so much of the entire body and it’s low impact of course which is a huge plus (at least to me I mean).

Glad you’re able to incorporate so many different ways to exercise into your life and routine.

It’s an important life skill too. I normally encorporate some front crawl practice and skulling as well, just because you never know when you might need them. I’m from a fishing family so being able to swim is not just about fitness; potentially it’s about saving lives.

As well as doing the ball thing hubby has also been doing kegel exercises, something has made a big difference with the ed but it is a slow process.

I really don’t need kegels to hold off when having sex, just the opposite, I would love to be able to cum much more quickly. Sometimes I take 20-30 minutes or more. It wears the poor OH out. But I would like to have firmer erections, not that they are soft by any means, but would like slightly more solidity.
