Somewhat inspired by the wigs on the sex toy tester's page today, I was wondering how many folk here wear wigs (specifically for sexy purposes.) I consider my hair one of my best assets so I'm not a fan personally but I love hearing other people's experiences. What wigs do you own, why do you wear them?
I have wigs for work! I have to look 'presentable', and shaved and colored hair apparently isn't that....
I probably wouldn't wear one for sexy time though, I like my hair pulled so it'd only go badly.
I wear wigs for a few reasons, though sexy time isn't a priority! I wear them for cosplay, mostly. I wear them for photos, esp sexy ones where I wish to be anon or just want to look different (like having really short hair more than colour changes). Wearing them during sex though...well, only if we're doing some roleplay and not very often. Like my OH loves blondes, but like hell am I bleaching out my beautiful dark hair again! Only just getting it back to natural after my rainbow years. So wig it is :)
I own quite a few, mostly character ones. Very much in the market for a good, realistic looking blonde wig, for reasons stated above.
I also own tonnes of doll wigs, but I doubt they count :p
I have tried a few wigs sold on here & personally do not like them.
I find them heavy, uncomfortable, not appealing & poor value.
So I went to a wig specialist & found a gorgeous wig which I happily purchased.
Reason I wanted a wig was because having a closely shaved head & dressing femme when going out didn't look great.
Now I have a gorgeous wig it makes my look complete & I feel more femme when dressed.
Like anything, you only get what you pay for.
Only worn wigs for parties and once for bedroom fun, but it didn't stay on for long!
I'm going to need one for all day use soon due to being on chemo and that's why I added one of the wigs on my testers list. Awaiting reviews now, to see if they are suitable for all day wear.
I would love to have a blonde wig I just haven't found one I've fallen in love with that's at affordable price and doesn't look really fake and cheap x
I bought a couple of wigs a few years back because I hated my hair but had such bad anxiety at the time that I couldn't go to a hairdresser. So at the time it was tons easier to just buy some wigs online. I got a wavy light blonde one, and a chestnut brown shoulder-length wig with a blocky sort of fringe.
I never really got on so well with them though, but that may have been because they were quite cheap and not great quality. I have long hair and found that with my hair, the wig cap and then the wig, I was boiling hot and so any sexytime stuff was very uncomfortable. My partner quite liked me looking different and exciting (he loved the blonde one, hated the brunette) but wearing a wig really inhibited my desire to do anything sexy.
I quite enjoyed wearing them outside because it was like putting on a confident persona, and feeling like people couldn't see me. It felt like being a different person, and I do have some nice memories of spending time outdoors with my partner when I might otherwise have had too low self-esteem to go out. It was always quite shattering when people would comment on the wigs though. I'm not sure why I thought I could get away with it looking like my natural hair, but it made me feel really self-conscious when people would point it out.
I love wearing wigs, I love being able to change what I look like that easy :)

Not for me, I'm a proud red head. My OH calls it my lions mane! I think he would be a bit disappointed if I changed, even if just with a wig!
I have enough hair on my head as it is haha and I think it would be too warm wearing a wig during. Probably drive me mad but I get the appeal. Can be sexy to take on another persona aided by a wig.

If you are fortunate to have a healthy budget, £100-200 & go to a wig specialist you'll be amazed at how light & cool a professional wig feels.
