The band had 2 UK No.1 Albums “THE HURTING” 1983 and “SOWING THE SEEDS OF LOVE” 1989.
Yet their most remembered album is “SONGS FROM THE BIG CHAIR” 1985 which reached No.2

Tears For Fears didn’t manage a UK No.1 single although Gary Jules rather glum version of their single “MAD WORLD” became the Christmas No.1 single back in 2003.
It reached No.3 for Tears For Fears back in 1982. (Which I bought at the time and still love it.)
