Thanks @wildflower
Another one for you all
“Beanz Meanz Heinz”
for years they were the only beans I bought, looking back I guess subliminally because of the advert

We buy Essential Waitrose Baked Beans now. 4 tins for 1.10, and they are as nice as Heinz used to be.
Oh! I just got reminded of another thing that annoys me in a lot of adverts (the bloo toilet stuff advert reminded me): the awful dubbing/syncing. I fully understand recording audio separately. But the mouth movements are so off it’d honestly be better if they didn’t try to lip sync
I tend to avoid adverts but I was definitely influenceable as a child. I remember trying to convince my parents to buy blue ketchup AND green ketchup as a result… Even though I didn’t really like ketchup (anyone else remember this?! I feel like it didn’t last very long but it was such a craze at the time)
I assume that’s the advertising company using ads filmed in a different country and dubbing an English accent on.
Any advert where teeth brushing exists or programme they can do one too, nobody wants to see that seeing it done repulses me
@DanceswithPenguins I actually wish they’d bring those Hovis ads back! So much better than the tosh we have these days!
@Alyssa646 On the subject of brushing teeth, what about the woman who says " I didn’t know OralB made a toothpaste" Based on the name what did she think they made? And the way she bites into that apple makes me laugh
No don’t, why we have to watch people eat bugs me too, I’m odd i can picture that advert now n yeah what did she think oral b made - oral sex toys
That hovis advert is strangely enjoyable, companies could learn to make good ones watching that
I could write a book after spending the day watching adverts every 10-15 minitues. Must of been my karma after daring to diss them
Looks like child labour to me
I prefer this version from another of Sheffield’s finest
They literally don’t even have toothpaste in their mouths on toothpaste adverts! What’s that all about?
Yeah, that’s a good point. We get to watch people brushing bare back n looking like they’re getting lots of pleasure from it too
No one looks like that brushing their teeth first thing in the morning it’s like the difference between giving head in porn vs what it looks like in real life
That’s brilliant and true. I know they’re making out brushing teeths the most pleasurable thing on the planet n without toothpaste too
I agree edited by mod grrrrrrrrr
It’s the vacuous grins on the toothpaste ads that irritate me!
I forget which advert it is, but there’s a couple waving off a workman in his van, they look a right pair of muppets with their vacuous smiles and exaggerated waving!
@WillC - the kind of smiles that make me think they are aliens/robots in disguise trying to infiltrate human society
Stepford people!
