Are you into manga and anime?

@Mint-Monster Haha I know right! That crab guy was hilarious, crab body, head and pincers yet still his human legs looking for the boy with the funny chin to kill because he drew nipples on him haha, also love the fact that being a super hero is just his hobby

Unfortunately, One Punch Man season 2 isn’t as good as the first one (which was a materpiece). We didn’t bother to finish it

We watched the first season of Attack on Titan many years ago and decided to watch the rest of the seasons while they are all on Crunchyroll. We were both a little miffed as we sat down to finish the whole thing off, being called the ā€œFinal Seasonā€ and all, only to find out it isn’t, haha. Rest will be coming out next year.

Just finished watching Goblin Slayer. Brutal at times, but overall very good.

Massive Anime fan here! It all started with dragon ball as a young teen which is my all time favorite anime.I have managed to watch every dragonball, dragonball z, dragonball gt, dragonball heroes and dragon ball super episode ever released plus all the films.

2nd favorite is Naruto which I completed aswel as Naruto shippenden, currently still going through Boruto which I don’t find as good as shippenden.

I also enjoyed full metal alchemist, Gurren lagann, one punch man, kill la kill, attack on titan and my newest interest is demon slayer.

Others I am tempted to start watching is bleach and one piece although, one piece is over 1000 episodes and may take me awhile

I used to watch A LOT many many years ago, but not watched anything new for a few years though. Favourites are: Death Note, Claymore, Fullmetal Alchemist, to name a few… :grinning:

Can anyone recommend any short and really good Anime? (15 episodes or so max)

I’ve seen a lot of anime so I don’t know what to give as an example.

I prefer anime that isn’t too wacky and that is a bit more serious. (no randomly over cartoony hyper stuff)

Such as the following are pretty good if you are also looking for what I’ve described;
Inuyashiki
The Daily Life of the Immortal King
Charlotte

Another vote for Erased :+1:

I believe Baccano and Elfen Lied are also short and more on the serious side.

We recently watched Goblin Slayer which is 12 episodes and a movie. However, it’s more like 11 since one of them is a recap episode, and the first 20 minutes of the movie is also recap. My partner said they could have left it at the series since it ties up quite nicely, but I guess it will get another season at some point.

I’ve been to see a friend this evening. Got home and the menfolk are watching spirited away.
I can’t watch, something to do with the frequency / frame rate makes me feel quite ill.

I do enjoy it but haven’t watched it for a while. Attack on Titan is my favourite Anime series.

Your anime taste seems almost identical to mine haha
You definitely need to watch Black Clover if you haven’t already, it’s very Naruto-esque (although absolutely nothing beats naruto in terms of character building) and there’s less than 200 episodes so far I think (I’ve watched up to about 120 and know I’ve got some to catch up on) so it’s long running but not as daunting as one piece or bleach :joy:

Thanks @Jazzam I will check it out, black clover has now been added to my list

Anyone else into Junji Ito books? I have a small collection of them. Love his grim art style and nightmarish tales

I love those too.

I have Junji Ito manga;
Fragments of horror
Uzumaki
Gyo

Wacky/Interesting style with interesting stories.

Good kinda creeped me out a bit but I guess that’s the point.

When the people end up on the fish gas inflating machines.

@DarkPollution - Yes, I have the same ones. Uzumaki is one of my faves :fish_cake:

I think I started with Shiver first and then just bought more and more. Some of the (mini) stories really stay with you.

I used to be in my teens/twenties but I’ve recently started rereading magical girl manga. During my research I found out that CLAMP released Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card six years ago so I’ve got some catching up to do.

Been watching more anime recently across platforms. Wasn’t a fan of Mob Psycho 100 or Kill la Kill (which I could have probably turned off a lot sooner). The Promised Neverland was good and it’s quite short. I’m surprised how much I loved Dorohedoro, though. Interesting world and characters. I feel bad I left it waiting on my list so long now :lizard:

Been reading my way through ancient mage bride after @Mint-Monster mentioned it. Actually really like the characters, just wish there was a bit more of a plot at the moment

@Green_Eyed_Girl - Glad you’re getting into it. Agreed. I watched the anime so I’m not sure how the manga compares. I think a lot of the focus goes on the other smaller stories (which I do like individually) or things are happening and they react to it. I just want more Elias, to be honest

I watched some of the amine too and so far i think it is very true to the manga. To be honest i like both so far, in slightly different ways.

Watched Alice and Borderlands on Netflix and once I finished that, read the entire manga series. Hightly recommend if you haven’t already. I also really enjoyed Pocket Monsters Special
