From the rules of the clubs I understand and know you are not allowed phone’s or cameras in there but the use of a smart watch is a grey area as long as you have a club that’s okay with them and a LTE signal that gets through the building structure you should be good for the babysitter to contact you and vis versa.
As for the having to tell anyone, why bother with all the grief that can follow, we are not living in an enlightened society even trusted friends can turn their backs.
I hope you find a solution for your troubles and you could always if you want to talk about your adventures start a blog. There are a few members here who do and I’m sure would like to read anything you share. I would be one of them, living vicariously.

Thank you for your comment we haven’t thought about a smart watch, that may be an answer.
We haven’t thought about doing a blog, wouldn’t even know where or how to start one, but if anyone has any advice on that, we would be happy to give it a go

You are spot on with your comments, religion has so much to answer for. Many wars are the result of religion. @MrGoodGuy
I think it would depend on who you are telling, tell my husband and me and we wouldn’t change our opinion or friendship towards you; however letting someone know who isn’t open minded or predominantly closeted may create a Pandora’s box of issues.
I’ve seen this effect people at work, do you have children? Are we really living in a society that is honestly open minded? Could your honesty affect family?
Lastly do you really need to tell them anything? Hope it works out well for you.
