Having read the suggestions from everyone here, the takeaway for me is that everyone is different. No real surprise there, I know. What some people say they want and enjoy would be my idea of a bad blowjob - similarly some of the things I LOVE may sound awful to others. This of course applies to everything in sex.
If your partner has specifically told you what he likes and doesn’t like then that’s the only voice that matters, really. We can’t tell him what he likes or should like.
My suggestion? You said you were inexperienced, but I don’t know his level of experience. Taking myself as an example, I’ve experienced oral from what I’d consider a significant amount of people, so I have a pretty good idea of what I’m genuinely into and what I’m not into. Of course some people will do the same thing (on paper) in a different way (ie a stylistic thing), so one person doing ‘x’ may be nice and another doing the same thing may not be.
If he’s ‘experienced’ and has had a lot of variation then he should have a good idea. If he hasn’t then I’d suggest you both just try a whole bunch of stuff, incl the same stuff but done in different ways - even the things you probably won’t like… because then you’ll know.
Just get playful with things and have some fun.
