Sorry, kitty cat I didn’t mean to get round to replying but health stuff
got to be in the mood for it. Anyway…
I know it’s a pain getting diagnosis, the rigmarole and the palava, I get it, been through it. But the thing is if it’s causing you that much trouble you need to do something about it. I’m not married so I don’t have the same pressure from anyone but myself. But you need to think of your partner as well as yourself. also, if you got your problem fixed just think of all the time, the best years of your life being unwell when you could’ve been okay.
I really recommend pushing your GP for a referral, I know it is not easy but if they’re resisting (by the way it took me two years to be re-referred to a consultant even when I’ve had all my past history already, that’s the state of the NHS) there is the option to go private. That’s what me and my family have done sometimes before, a lot of NHS consultants do private on the side and it can be a back door way to get into the system. It costs money but your health is worth it.
also, if you can get an ultrasound, that is usually the first scan for this sort of problem. But if that doesn’t show anything, or it does, I really recommend an MRI scan because it shows a lot of the nerve stuff. I had an ultrasound and CT scan and they both showed stuff, but it was the MRI that showed just how much it was affecting my nerves. So I’d really push for that.
The pudendal nerve I have got affected too, my sister even has it too, but hers is from her metastatic cancer, but both have the same thing, numb undercarriage (as my mum calls it!). The sword pain up the rear end and vag (even g spot
) and down legs. Luckily, no vag spasm as yet ![]()
Pelvic floor exercises are absolutely imperative, I do them religiously myself, even can O from sucking my vibrator in and out with mine I got it that toned ![]()
but it can’t solve a problem like this unfortunately. So by all means pursue it with the GP. Hope that helps X.
