I'll talk to whoever but I tend to try and judge if the person I'm talking to will be comfortable with it first - either that or I have to know them really well...I don't mind close friends feeling a little uncomfy if I think it'll benefit them in the long run.

Usually I find it hard to judge if any person will be comfortable with any kind of conversation... although I wish I could. Most of the people I know claim that there's nothing that can shock them, but I've seen them shocked too many times! I know my best friend for more than 10 years & it wasn't until very very recently that I had a discussion about condoms & lubes with her, she asked for a few suggestions. Going on what people "say" often doesn't work...I tend to see how they react to certain things....also, I'm a listener - for some reason, people just tell me things. I can have one conversation with someone and they've told me all about their cheating partner or friend worries. Because people just seem to trust me, I can gauge what sort of conversation they're ok with by what they will happily tell me.
I'm quite a good reader of people I think though I'm not sure why.

Yes i don't know why but most of our conversations end up with us talking about sex! I have found it so sad that most of them have never enjoyed sex or thed did but now its a chore!

This thread feeds into something i was wondering. What level of details do people share with their friends? I always thought behind closed doors girls/ladies were even worse than men but according to my wife she NEVER has had a discussion with her friends where they have shared any kind of personal sexual detail. I totally believe her as well. She says she's far to embarassed to ever bring it up and they never do either ( even with alochol involved ).
