Me and my wife have had this ongoing argument in our house weather its a dressing gown or house coat
Me its a dressing gown all day long
Her its a house coat
What do you all think
Or if anyone else has the same argument but about different things put them down below
Dressing gown. End of discussion.
Most definitely is a dressing gown!
Yup dressing gown here too!
it’s a regional thing - does she come from the north or northern ireland maybe? I say dressing gown personally
Never heard it called a house coat before, entirely new to me.
Probably dressing gown or a jumper to be honest. I don’t know what a house coat is?
My mum used to wear a housecoat, it was back in the early 70’s and was a sort of button thru nylon affair!
I always thought housecoats and dressing gowns were two different things. Housecoats used to be worn just over underwear to do the housework in and dressing gowns were something you put on when you got up in the morning before you got dressed or after you had a bath.
For those of you who’ve never heard of housecoats, it’s probably an age thing!
Dressing gown as I’ve not heard of house coat before!
For me, it was dressing gown and I hadn’t heard of a house coat but since moving to Scotland I’ve been told I am wrong and its house coat!
