Probably dressing gown or a jumper to be honest. I don’t know what a house coat is?

My mum used to wear a housecoat, it was back in the early 70’s and was a sort of button thru nylon affair!

I always thought housecoats and dressing gowns were two different things. Housecoats used to be worn just over underwear to do the housework in and dressing gowns were something you put on when you got up in the morning before you got dressed or after you had a bath.

For those of you who’ve never heard of housecoats, it’s probably an age thing!
