Hi everyone I have a question for you all about erotic fiction. Firstly do you read it or get into it at all?
If you do, where do you usually go and look for it?
Lastly do you pay for it or go for the free stuff?
I’m asking as I’m considering writing some of my own and attempting to sell it but I’m not sure if that’s a real possibility or if it’s even worth it. Mostly what I’ve written in the past was for a partner and the topic was usually hot wife, cuckold kind of stuff. I think there’s a market for that out there but I’m not sure if Amazon is the only real way to sell it.

I’d say Literotica is my fav as it’s all free.
Not sure how easy it is to go about getting paid for writing erotica but I’d be interested in finding out!
I’ve written one for Literotica ( all submissions are unpaid on there) and it was a lot harder than I expected although I really enjoyed it.
Erotica is hit or miss for me, I generally find it cheesy and corny, so I wouldn’t pay for it. I’d rather have real life stories.
You mentioned audio on another thread, and for this one it really depends on the voice for me. Has to be a man. Voices can be a massive turn on and if the voice isn’t right then no matter how good the material is, I’m not listening to it.
My partner is listening to an audio book of a porn stars life or career, I’m not sure and he loves it, it gets him twitchy. But her voice is robotic to me so I prefer to read it instead. It’s good to have choices!
Oh yes @JoCat you’re spot on with the voice thing.
I search through the audio stories on Literotica but if the voice /accent doesn’t do it for me then it’s a no go… no matter how good the story is. I prefer to listen to male voices but have so far only found a handful that fit my criteria!
You’re right about the voice I would have to pay someone to read my writing because I don’t have the right voice. The only thing I would say I have going for me is I’m Australian so my accent might turn some people on but I can’t imagine that would be a lot of people.
Thanks I’ll check out those posts. I might post on literotica just for fun. You’re right that it’s harder than it seems. My boyfriend used to get me to write stories for him and he didn’t understand that it can actually be really draining writing them. But I figured since I used to do them for him I think with a bit of work they could be suitable for a wider audience.

Erotic writing can be great fun and very arousing.
You’ll have the right voice for some people. I know people like my voice but there’ll be people who would turn off straight away. Just try it and be yourself, its a turn off when people try too hard to sound sexy. Literotica has audio…see what people think of your voice
