Have tried it, but to be honest neither of us were terribly keen on it. As other posters have comented, it does require a fair bit of effort on the part of the sitter, and from the perspective of the sittee, I don't think it really added much.
One of our other preferred positions is side-by-side, with her top leg over my shoulder.
