So on Saturday my wife and I are going to a Fetish Fair about an hour away from where we live (in the North East).
We’ve never been to anything like this (in our early 70’s) but we’re both looking forward to it.
Since it’s our first experience of coming in to contact with other people in the fetish lifestyle were going dressed in our normal street wear.
It will be interesting to see what the dress protocol is.

I’ve been to quite a few, some people will dress in normal clothes, some mostly vanilla but with a hint of kink and other will dress in fetish wear. It’s whatever makes you most comfortable

@rockstar me and my husband went to the London one a few years ago - it’s amazing and a lot of men dress up ( so many maids) and a lot of women are dressed as doms - it may be worth taking a change of cloths if you want to change while there

I have been to a number of events like fetish events, play parties, and sex expos.
Your best bet is to find the event’s website or Fetlife link and read the description. Almost all Expos (and some kink events) are okay with street clothes but some are not.
Have fun at the event!
We normally go to this one , hopefully be there as well next weekend
We’re covering both bases.
Were going in clothes that could be street clothes but with the addition of a few accessories such as a collar and lead and a crop or two we should fit in OK.

Is there a dress code?
I cant wait. Its the first time weve been able to make the daytime and night time. Im looking forward to the talk on extreme edge play in the evening as its somethjng we talk about often but dont know where to start so hopefully it will give us some ideas. I love the fact that we can be our true selves in a safe space there

I haven’t decided on my outfit yet but my wife will be wearing all black (she’s the Domme). Black leather jacket, black T shirt, black double split front wet look skirt, black tights and black studded ankle boots (and possibly a crop).

Fetishwear appreciated but smart / casual more than acceptable , do not turn up in Crocs and a vest as you will not even get through the door !!! Very friendly non judgemental place 
It doesnt happen very often in life but you will be in a room full of people who are all interested in the same life as you . enjoy !!
You will be welcomed with open arms , so far its 50/50 that we may have our beautiful grandsons for the day but if that is called off we will be there
