FSOG

Fifty shades of grey... is it worth a read or not?? I hear very different opinions?

My wife loved them read them over a summer holiday and it did help her with her sex drive.![](upload://ez5kOkpKXRZOxjavAURYmQxVTau.gif)

Everyone is so different when it comes to reading preferences. I personally enjoyed them, they were a little predictable etc but I thought they were a good read

Couldn't get past 3 chapters bored me rigid just didn't interest me enough to carry on.

They were the first books in this genre that I read, about this time last year. Not great writing, characterisation or plots and I have read better since but I really enjoyed them at the time. Like GG's wife reading erotic fiction has done wonders for my sex life.

If it wasn't for fsog I would still be stuck in a rut of being bored and disinterested in sex.
Fsog changed all that.
Now I'm a sex maniac that likes to be tied up and spanked!
Lol

I wasn't that bothered either way. Entertaining but not very well written, but that's my opinion. Give them a read and see what you think.

I really enjoyed the 1st and 3rd book but since then i have found so many other great authours. I say try it you may like it!

Hello,

Check the forum, this is very common topic.

As I already written review and said this in previous threats, I will just say I really hated it. Found it unrealistic, which irritated me to no end. I hated both main characters and just wanted to slap Ana to wake up. If she said inner goddess one more time, the book would end up flying out of the window. She was irritatiting. And I found him abusive.

It portreyed BDSM in very bad light, if you ask me.

Oh and with one exception, the sex scenes were annoying too. I guess I am not into orgasm every single time, even during her first time, etc.

And it took me a month to read it.

But some women love it. I threw the book out.

Loved the books & reread them occasionally. They aren't the best written book in terms if grammar but that's not an issue for me. I know people that read the first chapters & got bored, others love them. Personally, I'd say go for it! ^_^ x

I've read them all and found them to be a bit repetitive and the characters rather unbelievable but having said that it opened my eyes to some interesting ideas sexually , namely spanking and bondage;)

While they're enjoyable in the sense that they read away rather mindlessly, there's a lot wrong with the portrayed relationship. If you want a good and funny breakdown of the books you'll find that Jenny Trout does a good job of entertaining you while shining some lights on the somewhat disturbing aspects of the books.

It's really worth a read, jenny can be hilarious.

Apparently a psychologically abusive relationship (complete with forbidding her to talk about it with anyone) is just fine if he's HOT and you call it a love story.

Il pass then, my friend said the same as above really she said pretty much no point reading no mire tgan 1 coz their the same old...

Any other good books to read im not a big reader but willing to give a go ... xx

I love Portia Da Costa, KD Grace and Tiffany Riesz for erotic fiction. read some reviews and have a look see what you think you could always try reading a book of short stories to get a feel of what you like excite books have some good ones.

Personally I enjoyed them as a read where I could switch off and just enjoy the easy reading. Wasn't the best by any means but if you're looking for an easy read with some possible ideas for bedroom play it will pass a couple of hours.

I didn't bother as I'd heard they were poorly written and way off the mark from a lot of my friends who specialise in literature. Also it seemed that the author frequently confuses BDSM with straight up abuse. That's not really a winner for me sadly. Though that's merely my opinion and the popularity of the series definitely says something.

Personally, I found Christian to be more of an emotionally underdeveloped, yet manipulative bully than something like an alluring dominant. And as for Ana... well, an allegedly intelligent, independent girl who is fond of 19th century literature, yet she acts as if she has virtually never heard of sex before (I have never had a partner myself but I seriously doubt I would be that naïve) AND she has the most limited vocabulary ever, going for the silliest comments of the "inner goddess" variety all the time... No, sorry, this really wasn't my cup of tea.

I enjoyed it as it was my first kinky story I have ever read but I have read better since opened my eyes to the kinky world I like it because it was my first book but I enjoy Cherise Sinclair, Sara Desmarais,Madelynne Ellis,Leena Darling,Leena Darling,Sophie Morgan,Justine Elyot,Christa Wick, Ruby Taylor are a few of my favourite authors x

I read the first chapter of the first book. What a waste of a perfectly good tree! Needless to say it was 'recycled' hopefully to be turned into toilet paper.
