Hmmm.... its one of those good and bad things. Everyone has to start somewhere and talking about sex (and the dangers) at all might be better than ignoring it.
I notice with skeptical stuff, its as frustrating as hell to me to watch people actually engage with some pseudo-sciences and BS merchants (Shitty ghost Living TV thing I'm looking at you) but if you go in full force it puts people off... even if you're right! Grrrr!

Funny thing is, I took it for my photography coursework. My intention was to hand it in and run away lol, until I discovered that almost everyone in my group had done nudity or sex in their projects in some form, including one guy who did his whole project on nude photography!
