The final piece of good news came today.
One of the things which triggered the investigations for prostate cancer was a sudden increase in my PSA level. The doctor performing my cystoscopy was of the opinion that this increase was caused by the UTI but asked me to get a follow up test after 6 weeks. This was done yesterday and the results came through today. My PSA level has dropped back into the normal range (actually it’s in the normal range for a man 10 years younger than me) so all is well and I’m fit, healthy and relieved.
