Ian - my replacement Starlet arrived (and I love it).
Would you like me to measure the head against one of my old spare W100 nozzles? I won't have time to dig the old one out until the weekend, though.
Let me know.

If it's not too much trouble the info could be useful. They are phasing out the older model though so don't go to loads of effort. 🙂
Do you have the regular or the XL nozzles?
I think they're the originals as I've had them since the first Womanizer came out (I meant to ask someone if the W100 or 500 was the original with the tacky jewel button).
I need to wait for my OH to come home to pull them out, but I'll get the measurements by the weekend.
ETA: It's no trouble as I'm interested to see if there was any difference in the size myself.

Second - what am I doing wrong with the Womaniser (which apparent can't swap, because it was already a swap) - the second time I used it (the first time was brilliant) I felt like I had cystitis for 24 hours afterwards. My clit is still a bit sore a week later. I am disappointed to say the least! I was so looking forward to suction bliss after the rubbish experience with the Fifty Shades one.
Did you figure this out? I'm not sure if it's proper forum etiquette to be so concerned for another member's clitoris but I thought I'd ask. 🙂
I don’t know how Gran got on but I worked out what’s causing my irritation and it comes down to my needing loads of lube to stop any friction etc. The only problem with the loads of lube thing is that I’m allergic to something in it. So new organic oil based lube has been ordered and hopefully no more itch in the ditch.

Have you checked that the oil-based lube is compatible with the silicone nozzles? Mixing silicone/oil-based things together can cause a chemical reaction that can ruin the toy. They do sell replacement nozzles if you do want to try out it and see what happens, but keep an eye out for any damage or change in appearance. 🙂
There's a thread or two around somewhere about good lubes for those who are more sensitive. Here's one I managed to find but I'm sure there are others.
Hope this helps 🙂
I was about to buy the starlet, but not sure now. I have quite a big clit (sorry for TMI), and I'm worried the nozzle may be too small. There's no way I can afford any of the others though
Thanks Ian for your concern over my clit, I haven't dated yet it again as I'm still a bit tender there. Hope this isn't TMI but it's definitely a problem. I just feel a little bruised. And that's a while ago now. It's put me off playing with anything. Well, I'll have to get back on the horse, do to speak, as I have boxes and boxes of toys under my bed!

From what I understand of these things I don't think you'll have an issue of it not fitting (hopefully a clitoris owner can confirm this..?). As has been mentioned above you can buy a set of larger nozzles separately, but they seem to be for people who have more of a sensitive clit than a larger one. If you're worried I'm sure if you contact Customer Care they'll be able to answer this for you. 🙂
I wonder if the brackets will stop me posting

That is extremely unfortunate. I hope it/you feel better soon. A bruised clit does not sound fun.

I should also mention that I think the nozzles are a similar size across all the different models, it's only the body of the toy that is smaller.
Hey Ian - I measured the nozzles in a very unscientific manner by holding them together.
They look the same size and the old one fits the Starlet perfectly.
I can get my ring finger into it quite deeply and it's quite a bit bigger than the opening on the Sona - if that's any help for people.
Flamingo747 - I think the only nozzle bigger than the Starlet would be the Fifty Shades one, but a few of us here haven't had much luck with it.
Gran - I've had a few problems with soreness on my clit but it's disappeared since I started using Pjur Med's cleaning spray. I used it on my toys and on my skin. I'm prescribed Corsodyl for mouth problems and it does a stellar job. The Pjur stuff has the same ingredient and does the same wonders for my bits. Only thing is, if you use them both don't mix them up. Corsodyl is bloody strong stuff! Wish they could make it as mild as Pjur.
I am a little concerned about the cleanliness issue on the Womsniser. Much as I didn't get on with the Fifty Shades one, it is possible to suck warm soapy water right through it and out the other side. Good clean up job. On the Womaniser, the advice is to take off the nozzle and clean that, but merely wipe the body of the thing with a damp cloth. So what happens to all the lube and juices that get sucked in? Do they languish inside? Yuk!
Ian, VR, Ugly Betty - what do you do? What do you think? I think it's a problem that needs addressing. Lovehoney team - any comment?
Gran, which Womanizer do you have? If it’s a waterproof model then you can run some water into the chamber to remove all traces of use and then remove the head for a thorough clean to get rid of the bulk of the residue :)
I have several suction toys and the above method is how I clean them all. No traces of use left afterwards. The older models weren’t as hygienic but anything after the first few models should be waterproof and easily cleaned through the above method.
Yes NatandTom, you can clean the chamber, but not inside the machine - i.e. you can't flush it through. It doesn't have an outlet hole. Mine is a Starlet. Maybe it isn't water safe?
I brought the pro2 after reading amazing reviews. Ive been using it now for nearly a month and I just cant get alone with it. It doesnt seem to do much for me at all. I was suprised as im definitely a clit girl over g spot. So im sending it back and swaping for something completely different.

That's a shame. It is definitely the type of toy that won't work for everyone but sometimes a change of nozzle shape can make all the difference. I didn't get along with the Deluxe for that reason but I have liked the rest of their range.
Hope whatever you get instead ticks more boxes for you!
Reporting back - I just had another go with the Starlet - no bruising, all good. I even had an orgasm, which is very rare for me. It did take a few other toys as well, but I'm much happier with the Starlet now. I'm not even sure what I did differently, but it was much better. Glad I persevered! And thanks everyone for advice, suggestions and care.
