Like the title of my thread how old were you? and what was the factor that made your decision on it final?
Not sure this has been done before, As I'm quite new here did you know? Yep. Anyway....
I was the young and footloose age of 21 and twas with my first love, That I started to get into the whole toy thingy.

I think I was 18/19, it was a rampant rabbit deluxe from Ann Summers lol. Never used it much don't really like it. It's just stuffed in a drawer.

I believe I was 17, although the boyfriend technically bought it for me (I picked it out with him in Ann Summers). I was (still am...) a bit of a nympho and he couldn't quite keep up with me, heh, and I'd liked the idea of trying a vibrator for a couple of years.
It was (well, still is) pink and glittery, fairly realistic, but smallish. The poor thing is now rather neglected, as I have so many others that I prefer, but I've got a soft spot for it since it's the one that started off the collection. Hey Ad I know I'm new here, but in all honesty I'm a little offended by your action here, o.k. I may have not used the search function. But, in my eyes there is definitely something different between when you first tried a sex toy and when you first purchased one yourself (and why you did). To then see you have found the old thread bumped it and requested it be resurrected well thats just plain right rude and insulting, some threads when they die let them be dead and have new ones take there place, this happens often in many other forums I am part of even if they have a search and find policy, plus to have to bump a thread more than a month old to ask any kind of question, thats a little pedantic.

This subject has been gone over quite a lot recently, And there are members on both sides of the fence. i myself am somewhere in between.
But for someone who obviously has been on other forums, Would you not count it a polite and forum friendly thing to do, And do a quick search first??? Yet you calll a loyal and rule observing member rude?
I myself am known from time to time to make a thread similar to an existing one. The least I do is apologize.
Not sticking my ore in, but Ads is far from rude or insulting. As i AM sure others will agree.
This community is a fantastic and friendly place, Ive only been here a short while, But would hate to see it fall victim to a flame war on the basis of a member being polite and following the rules!

I don't think I was rude in the slightest, perfectly polite in fact. Bumping threads is preferred at this particular forum so that's what you should do, even if it's more than a month old.
Not using the search function is disrespectful to the rules in my opinion and to ignore the rules is disrespectful to other members who use this forum. If you think your thread is different then fine, but I disagree - no matter how hard you try, people won't reply specifically to "buying" toys just like they won't to "using" them, the two will become the same thread whether you like it or not. I also think it's highly likely, the "different" way you intended your thread to go will have been covered too, but I don't see why I should be the one doing the searching, that's the responsibility of the poster. Yes I just grabbed a thread that was similar, because I'm busy and you should be searching, not me, you were the one who made the repeat thread.
I think it's unfair to brand me offensive simply for requesting you follow the rules. I'm sure you'd rather I did it openly than just report your post without saying anything.

Anyway, Look we're all new at some point or another, Im new here and things are I admit done differently here to other forums ( trust me, im an admin elsewhere )
But it seems to work, And its kinda refreshing being able to bump an old thread without being flamed for it lol.
There are always going to be grey areas that are going to be dissagreed on, Me and Ads disagree already on one matter but its all good, We both respect each other for our reasons.
All i think is needed, Is the common sense to at least do a forum search first, Even if its not all the pages, Just at least make an effort, And state that you have.
I would hate to see the OA go down the shitter because rules aren't being read etc.
