How to fully embrace Dom - Sub/Slave life

She sounds like she is suppressed to the point of having no free will.

Is it a valid life choice for her? If so she sounds judgemental and unpleasant.

The alternative view is she’s painting herself and her lifestyle as superior just as a sad way of trying to cover up the reality that every shred of self respect has been taken from her.

She does have some free will, she goes shopping and such when her Dominants are too busy for her but she has very little life outside of BDSM. I think her Domme did encourage her to take up a hobby too but of what I understand she’s all but given that up now, believing that nobody really understands her. She also wears chunky slave jewellery when she does these “vanilla” things and has to tell people (whether that’s by choice or not is hard to tell) what she is. So at best case, she is so lost in herself that she can hardly function without the world seeing and treating her as lesser, as a slave. I know quite a few people worry about her mental state but her Dominants encourage so they are at least complicit.

Absolutely, of what I understand she had a strict religious upbringing so this lifestyle is a kind of rebellion of that for her, which is totally understandable, but at what cost? Surely an empowered woman would sound… well… empowered? She just sounds surrendered and continually oppressed. Instead of saying “I don’t like this”", she endures whatever “this” is because, she says, that’s what a good slave “should” do. I have to call her out on it because arguably, that kind of language enables abuse and could encourage others to accept abuse too, whether she means to or not.

I’m not sure if it’s been taken so much as surrendered and not returned. I’m very lucky in that my husband (and Sir) know how great I am and wouldn’t allow me to sell myself as just a hole to be filled. They might play with such words but only because they know I know it’s just smack talk. It’s kind of what we do.
